Brees wouldn't want it any other way - would you?

Dave Cohen Reporting
The New Orleans Saints face New Orleans native Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl 44. It is a showdown that has been in the making for months in many minds.

"This is kind of what we've anticipated this entire time," Saints quarterback Drew Brews said. "Everything is playing out the way that we kinda had planned."

From fans to analysts and players to coaches the talk of a potential Saints - Colts Super Bowl began months ago. They were the last two undefeated teams during the regular season. Some even thought they would both go 18 - 0 and meet in the Super Bowl undefeated. That didn't happen, but they are both the #1 seed in their conference. The Saints won 13 in a row, while the Colts won 14.

Brees is happy it turned out this way.

"Here we are now about ready to face the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl 44, in Miami and we wouldn't want it any other way," the Saints QB said.

Most fans we've talked to agree.

"To be the best, you've to beat the best," one Who Dat said.

Another added, "It sure would be nice beating Peyton Manning."

Here are some other Saints fan comments:

"I want to see them really just knock out (the Colts)."

"They are going to win against whoever they are playing."

"You've got the best team against the other best team, it'll be a good game."

"I think they can roll with anybody."

"It doesn't matter. I'm just glad they are in the Super Bowl."
