Room on the wagon.... for a JETS fan?

Well guys, I just joined to bid well wishes and congrats on making the big show!

The hurt in my stomach from my team being 20 minutes from the SB is finally waning, but I found myself cheering hard for the SAINTS in the NFC championship (after I stormed home angry from the bar) and needing something to look forward to next Sunday.

I was really hoping to see a JETS-SAINTS Super Bowl... oh well.

I see the similarities of a fellow fan base that has stuck by a losing team from a long time, (and you guys like to party!) not to mention that New Orleans has been through a lot. I'll be pulling for the SAINTS. Usually I root for the AFC team, but you guys have earned/deserved this moment. Good Luck, and more importantly enjoy it and have fun.

I'll always bleed green but for the next 2 weeks... GEAUX SAINTS! :bng:

Revis, You are in. Welcome aboard. Glad to have you. I'll come find you if we all have to jump out and push. Jets were giving the Colts a run for their money for a while. I like Sanchez...the boy is going to be good. See who else you can find and bring them along.

Yeah, it was nice ride, and the kid showed potential, but they lost to the better team. JETS magic just ran out.

Indy is damn good, and favored for a reason (just being objective) but I've always rooted for the underdog so..... Don't worry, my family's on the bandwagon too.

My brother and I are always looking for an excuse to get excited/crazy about something, especially this year's SB party. We were planning on having a SB/birthday/retirement party for my dad anyway. My brother and his girl are flying down from NY and for awhile it looked it a dream was going to come true. We'll still find a way to have fun & be yelling "Who Dat" with a NY accent (well he does) as we roast Oysters and drink beer. He's always been a big Brees fan, and we weren't happy when Mangenius traded Vilma.

Hopefully Pierre Thomas can consistently pound the rock and keep Manning off the field for the Saints.....

Wilkommen Revis, I have a soft spot for the state of New York this season, considering the Saints went 3-0 against ya'll's teams.:bng:

You may know, we also have an island that is very uncomfortable for opposing QBs to visit. We call it Greer Isle. Watch Manning's nightmare trip to there on SB Sunday!

nah, we look forward to roastin and shuckin oysters in the winter! Besides, If we put the game on a projector outside, the fire will keep us warm.

Hard to get mudbugs here, but we may boil some shrimp & blue crabs in your honor..... If the JETS made the show it was going to REXICAN food across the board and a piņata at halftime. (viva el Sanchez! ) :(

Regretfully, I've never been to N'awlins. I know I'm missing out. I had hopes to make it that way for the JETS game, but $ is TIGHT this year. I'd like to do some Yellow fin Tuna fishing around the oil rigs too!

Where, exactly, is it that you are? I'm guessing the economy stinks all over the country right now, so it could be anywhere north of the Mason Dixon line, huh? When you get a chance DO visit New Orleans. GREAT place to explore!

Lemme know if you are ever down this way and want to do the tuna thing right. My neighbor is a charter boat captain and we do an overnight tuna trip every year. Amberjack at the rigs until dark, then tuna all night long (until you can no longer hold your rod..LOL))

is it older than 1714? cuz if not, then Natchitoches, La. has you beat.

You're screename is a hoot. If I wasnt religious, I'd laugh at it, but I cant. We have the same thing going on here, as people refer to "Breesus." Brees himself isnt a fan of it, but to each their own. shhh...it is kinda funny....

Hope you like spicy food! Jump in and grab some mudbugs!

Re: Room on the wagon.... for a JETS fan?

haha...... yeah, my girlfriend thinks the Revis Christ thing is sacrilegious too, but my brother and I (and many JETS fans) have fun with it. It's all in fun, not meant to be offensive, we're just nuts. You want to laugh though......

Tailspin? not considering the JETS won 7 of their last 8....... and held the Saints offense to 10 points (that was Sanchez's 1st "rookie mistake" game... giving the Saints 14 pts) I'd say it was more like "turbulence" ;)

In the long run, that loss had no bearing on the JETS season, as they still made it until they played a better team in the AFC championship ;)

btw St. Augustine was Founded in 1565.

It's the same as Breesus Christ. Most people think it's sacreligious, but I think it's funny and cute! It's something to laugh at, and not to take seriously!

People take way too much stuff too serious. Religion is at the top of the list IMO... but I digress.

I have buddies that trailer a 30' boat from Indy to Venice LA. a couple times a year to go fishing. I keep trying to hook up and come... but can't. I have an acquaintance in my Honda Valkyrie club that lives there in NO and would show me a big time, if I can ever break away long enough to get down there on the bike.

Mud bugs rock. I wish I could get a few up here still. I used to get them when I was a kid a lot... but they are a lot harder to come by now-a-days.

Man Revis dude. I told you on the Gang Green website, if your Jets beat my Colts, I'd be a Jets Fan for two weeks. No love from you for the AFC Champs huh?

Welcome Revis Saves. That is one kewl avatar, sir. Darrelle Revis is a great CB in the making. I 'm right in saying that no receiver his side got more than 35 yards? Enjoy the ride with us.

Welcome to Louisiana. We have a series of barrier islands.

Sharper Isle. Harper Isle. Greer Isle. Porter Isle. Vilma Peninsula.
The list goes on. We have so many islands here you need a gps.

I'm on written record here having stated: "I want the Jets to win but I think the Colts will"

At this point in the process, Just Say Neaux To Dolts.

Welcome to the Who Dat Nation. Enjoy the ride. It is our time.

If someone is worried about burning in Hades because of an avatar, let them say a Novena. They'll get over it. Nice avatar.

I said this on TGG too. The Jets will be back, and they'll be there a while.

Not ALL religious people take it too seriously... just SOME. You know what I mean. Obviously I wasn't talking about you.
This ain't the place... I wasn't trying to start anything. There are people that take EVERYTHING too seriously.

The pic is awesome...

Seriously the Jets impressed greatly this season. Hopefully Sanchez doesn't have a sophomore slump next season. Honestly with the running game though you guys should stay quite strong and keep those damn Patriots in their place for a few years to come.
