Some greedy Saints fans are too funny......

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I won't mention where, but it's funny that there are some Saints fans around that are advertising their Super Bowl tickets for sale and they want "SAINTS FANS" to get them. Asking prices......$1,800 each, $2,000 each......et cetera. I love how ...

I love how they make it sound like they are trying to help their fellow Saints fans. I want to go so badly, but I am not paying more than $1,200. I have found some already for around $1,400 but to think that Saints fans are offering tickets to other Saints fans that they won for $800 at prices near and above $2,000 each is funny.

At least be honest and say that you are trying to help yourself, not your fellow Saints fan.

Cause they are on a Saints forum, and admittedly won their tickets in the lottery.

Have you seen the ticket prices on NFL.com? They start around 1500 I recall. depending on their seats I don't see the issue with their asking price. If they are Saints fan choosing not to go it may be because they need the money.

I know who it is and which site it comes from and i also think making it seem like they are trying to help fellow saints out is hysterical, they probably have those same tickets on Ebay or some other site going to the highest bidder..
I think the guy also offered to donate 200 of the dollars he get from the Tickets to the Saints forum site that he's offering them on.
I cracked up a little bit..
im like man be honest! stop tryin to be a crooked salesmen online.. that crap gets on my nerve thats why i don't go there much anymore other than for some new video streams that don't get posted here for some reason.

If your trying to make a lil profit, no one will care, they may try and negotiate with you but thats about it, just let people know your trying to make a profit like any other American does.

Oh no, I wasn't saying that supply and demand hasn't created something worth more than it's face value (that being Super Bowl tickets) but I just get a kick over how people try to make it out like they doing someone a favor because we are all Saints fans!

Not to mention, they are winning nose bleed seats in the Saints ticket lottery that are going for less than $1,500 elsewhere and they doing Saints fans a favor at $1,800.

Of course we all wish we could be there and sadly we all can't be. I do, as mentioned in my other post, think the Saints (let me clear this up now.....the FRONT OFFICE/TICKET people) did not release enough tickets to the fans.

Agreed. How many did the Colts offer? If you can go at face value, than you SHOULD give it to another Saints fan at value..thats a gimmie, if you dont than you SHOULD admit your greedy

Re: Some greedy Saints fans are too funny......

Jan. 28 (Bloomberg) -- The price of tickets to see the Indianapolis Colts play the New Orleans Saints at the National Football League’s Super Bowl are up about 5 percent from last year at the largest online ticket reseller, and may fall.

The average price of a ticket to the Feb. 7 game in Miami is $2,728 at EBay Inc.’s StubHub, up from an average of $2,594 at this time last year, before the Pittsburgh Steelers beat Arizona Cardinals in Tampa, Florida, according to Joellen Ferrer, a company spokeswoman.

“Right now, the average price is slightly higher,” she said. “But there’s still quite a bit of inventory available throughout the secondary market in general, so we expect it to settle in the next week.”

Face value for Super Bowl tickets ranges from $500 to $1,000. Some 85 percent of the seats are in the $800-$900 range.

The average secondary price is down about 32 percent from a high of $4,004 in February 2007, when the Colts beat the Chicago Bears in the NFL’s title game, she said. That game also was held in what is now 76,500-seat Sun Life Stadium in south Florida.

The most expensive ticket sold so far cost $8,300 for a spot for a front-row 50-yard-line seat along the Saints’ sideline. The cheapest cost $1,500 and were located in the upper level of an end zone.

The average sale price at Razorgator Inc.’s online market is $2,790, about the same as last year, according to Jean Nickerson, a company spokeswoman. That’s down from an average of about $3,900 in 2008.
I'll be watching it with friends at home. Usually spend a few hundred bucks on snacks.
