the chargers had no reason to keep brees around.....having said that, letting him go was a mistake

any way you spin it, brees is the better QB

it doesnt matter if rivers is 4th or 5th best in the league because brees is 1st or 2nd in the league right now and despite being only a few ranks below, that is still a huge dropoff

rivers was not in a system that revolved around him and he had time to learn behind drew, on a run first team.....the same benefit that mark sanchez and matt ryan had

rivers is now a top 10 QB but is still not on the same level as brees

no matter how you look at it, it was a bad decision to let brees go, but nobody knew how he was going to turn it around and become an MVP type of player

i agree that the real doops are the dolphins but the blame should fall on the chargers for letting him go in the first place and not having faith in him......faith is something you dont often find in the NFL anymore....its something that the city of new orleans thrives off of and its a huge reason why the saints have turned their franchise around

.. the subject is about you coming to a Saints forum trying to somehow rationalize Drew's departure from San Diego while at the same time trying to convince yourself the Chargers did well in taking Rivers, and trying to compare Rivers to Drew, and Rivers is no Drew.. not even close.. and your team is a classless bunch of punks as evidenced by their conduct on national TV during the Divisional playoffs.

.. but I guess I have to thank you in part for me going full time to Saints Revolution... that site is very raw, but it did take the SRly taste off my palate, a flavor that unfortunately has tainted this site because of threads like this one.

If some of you guys would grow a pair and step-up, we might be able to deter these types of threads, but I've seen more support for this guy than I can believe...some even going as far as telling the dude he has a lot of class.
Dude goes around dissing the Mannings and people have no problem...I just wish he would say something negative about Drew...then people would be up in arms.

Like I said earlier, this post is full of class act fans but there are a few trolls that want to stir the kettle. The reason being is because people don't like those trolls and misery loves company.

All I said is that I'm not fond of the Manning family. So what? Some posters in here aren't fond of my QB, but you don't see me crying about it.
