B) How did the Saints D cause the Vikings to have 12 men in the huddle on that last drive of the game, basically taking them out of field goal range?

C) When the Saints do anything close to what the Colts have done over this past decade, then YOU will have some cred, as of right now, you are just a "lucky" NFC that made it to their first superbowl. Gee even a blind squirl gets lucky and finds a nutt every so often....
Let me get this straight... You are determining how well your team will do Sunday, based on the Vikings game? Or is it by what we've done in the past decade? Do you not have enough faith in your OWN TEAM, to talk about the match ups on Sunday? Or are you a closet Vikings/Favre fan?

As far as your blind squirl, it's spelled squirrell by the way, the Cardinals, the Bucs, the Seahawks, ALL played their first superbowls this past decade. So there are alot of nuts falling I guess. Also, you guys get your first superbowl since what, the late 60s, and now all the sudden you guys are experts on other people's organizations, and team abilities? We know about our past, and we don't need a Colts fan to tell us about it.

We have a superbowl to play Sunday. Let's talk about that. Let's leave the past where it is.

What's popular is not always right, and what's right is not always popular.....

I'm thinkin' Indy4192 is a Vikings fan in disguise as a Colts fan so he can come over and diss the Saint's fans. He sure likes to take up for the purple people eaters, doesn't he?

I would like to comment on the Dallas game, though. I was there, too, and I do believe we totally underestimated Dallas. Could be because the last time we had played them, we went in and obliterated them in Dallas. Could be cause we were in a slump. If we had had 2 more minutes, we'd have had it in the bag, though.

Out of everything I said, THIS is the only thing you respond too. You are a coin toss from my "ignore" list.

Right, I realize they don't run the wildcat, but you don't need to do that to have an effective run game. The traditional offense that the Saints run may be true for their running game, but it's their passing game where I think is going to expose the weak secondary of the Colts. In the POs, the Colts played Flacco who had a typical sophomoric year. He definitely can't be compared to Brees. Mark Sanchez who for a rook didn't do bad either, but everyone knew he wasn't going to win the game for them. Their best running back got hurt, he was shredding the Colts D. I watched the Pats beating the Colts all game long and the Pats D was suspect then. Freeney is definitely a difference maker. His loss will be felt, that's just undeniable. Reggie Bush is definitely better than Addai and Brown, well, not there yet. It should be an aerial display of epic proportions, though, that's for sure.

Thank you for the welcome! Always had a soft spot in my heart for the Saints. I think that's pretty much the general feeling too. Seems most want to see them win. Let's hope some of those saints up above are feeling it too!

Stlrfan, it's nice to hear that others admire and respect the Saints. This has been a long time comin', and this state, the players, and the fans deserve it. The Saints have the most devoted fans I've ever seen or read about, and it stinks that some people wanna come over and rain on the parade. Your opinion is appreciated. A forum is a place where people should be able to come and express their views in an amiable way, no matter what they are, but it sure is great when they go about it in a nice way.

Here's a legitimate question about the topic of this thread. Why was Freeney still in that game against the Jets anyway? The Colts were up 30-17, with 2 minutes left in the game, and they still have their BEST pass rusher playing in the game? What's the deal with that?

Re: Dwight Freeney, star defensive end for the Indianapolis Colts, may miss Super Bowl XLIV with serious ankle injury

The Colts were able to shut down the Cardinals earlier this season that have a very good passing attack and did so on their home field playing on a short week. I think Brees will have a good day and will put up around 28pts, the question is can the Saints keep the Colts under 28 points?

I agree 100%, but most other Colt fans believe that in the playoffs the game is never "over" but I don't agree and believe at that point he and some others should have been on the sideline.
