So watching NFL Network...

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Another favorite of mine is Eric Clapton. I would love to see him live. His remake of I'm Tore Down, is one of my all time favorites....

I'm a Clapton fan, too. I am right there with you on David Gilmour's ability on the guitar. Clapton and Gilmour are my favorites to hear play. And Gilmour can TEAR UP a slide!

As soon as the "Who" were announced as the halftime show, I turned to my friends and let them them know that the Saints were going to the superbowl and expect them to sing "Who Dat are you" ....not to mention, they gotta be better than the "stones"... they sounded and looked old.

Bro, when I get moved to N.O., you, me, and strat need to hang out. Saints, History, music, and beer are my four favorite things! Well, there's one more, but I can't say that here.

Sounds like a plan to me. I think Strat and I live about the same distance away from N.O., so it will be a nice little getaway for me.

And FF just said that "one more" thing for you. LOL!

Re: So watching NFL Network...

I love all of those bands, but the point is, the superbowl should be something from middle of the road...
Somehow pink floyd has kept up their concert presence, hell even mcjagger....but didnt Daughtry of the who have some medica issues? can he walk?:
I would love to see him spinning that microphone on stage, if it doesnt kill him!
What could be some middle bands to play? you know, something the under 38 crowd would like...and the over 38 crowd wouldnt mind?

Sorry guys I am a purist. After Roger Waters left the band it was no longer Pink Floyd - it was just 3 old dudes (one who plays a mean guitar)

Waters wrote most of the songs after Cid left. It is his band in my opinion. I drove 800 miles to see Waters do Dark Side of the Moon outside of DC - It was a fantastic show!!

I dated a girl who was in London and watched the reunion of Pink Floyd during the Live 8 Concert about 5 years ago (I think). She couldn't appreciate the significance of it, because she wasn't a fan. I almost smacked her.
