Well given your final regular season ranking on defense as 25th ranked D overall and the Steelers were 5th, you have a llllllllllooooooooooooooooooooong way to go.

... but that's the media for you. Just 3 weeks ago, all the talk was how the Chargers (those classless punks) had the Colts' number and how hard it was going to be for the Colts to go pass the Chargers, and the Chargers were the hottest team in the NFL and all that jazz, then the Jets turn around and beat the Chargers, and now all of the sudden the Colts are invincible... ...but whatever. |

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Let's not forget the game that was played just 2 years ago
Saints @ Colts Thursday, September 06, 2007 7:30 PM CT Lucas Oil Stadium; Indianapolis, Ind. Scoreboard 1st 2nd 3rd 4th OT Total Saints 0 10 0 0 10 Colts 7 3 14 17 41 Fast Fact Key Stats Passing *Drew Brees 28-41-192 yards-2 INT-0 TD *Peyton Manning 18-30-288 yards-0 INT-3 TD Rushing *Deuce McAllister 10-38 *Reggie Bush 12-38 *Joseph Addai 23-118-1 TD Receiving *Eric Johnson 8-57 *Reggie Wayne 7-115-2 TD Tackle Leaders *Scott Fujita 9 tackles *Marlin Jackson 12 tackles Total Yards Saints 293 Colts 452 Rushing Yards Saints 106 Colts 164 Third Down Eff. Saints 6-15-40% Colts 4-11-36% Turnovers Saints 3 Colts 1 By The Number 55 - Jason David's 55-yard fumble recovery return for a touchdown was the Saints' first defensive TD since 2004. Key Play Indianapolis opened the scoring on a 27-yard TD pass from Peyton Manning to Marvin Harrison near the end of the first quarter. Jason David got the Saints on the board with a strip of Reggie Wayne and a 55-yard fumble recovery to knot the score at 7-7. Olindo Mare gave New Orleans the lead with a 34-yard field goal with 6:26 remaining in the first half. Adam Vinatieri leveled the score at 10-10 on a 33-yard field goal :45 before halftime. Joseph Addai pushed Indianpolis back into the lead with a 2-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter. A 28-yard TD pass from Manning to Wayne made the score 24-10 in favor of the Colts. Vinatieri pushed the lead to 17 with a 33-yard field goal. Manning hit Wayne on a 45-yard toss to make the score 34-10. Colts S Matt Giordano returned an interception 83 yards with just under a minute to play, pushing the score to 41-10. I'm sure the Saints didn't forget that game either. Remember, the Vikings beat us a long time ago in our first playoff game 44-10 in the Superdome and we avenged that loss. Now we have a chance to avenge another beating at the hands of the Colts. The Saints haven't forgotten that loss with a national audience watching. I hope the Colts don't forget that game either. Saints 37-Colts 24 |
Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Oh, really he's thinking with his heart not his head. He isn't breaking down all aspects of the game match ups now and he still believes his team will finish on top.

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
We have all seen that the media is clearly pulling for Manning and that the people who are pulling for the Saints appear to be pulling more for the city than the team...I am tuning all of this out. I want a good game and a Saints victory!

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Dungy isn't a coach anymore, and he should reallize that. As an analyst, you have to leave your past job experience behind you, or serious football fans, will no longer listen to a word you say. You don't see Madden picking the Raiders to win every game, and you don't see Cowher picking the Steelers to win every game, and so on, and so on. I don't believe that anyone knows what's going to happen on Sunday. That's why the game is played.
|
Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Dungy's an idiot and the Saints are going to shock the world Sunday night. Of course I won't be shocked because the Colts aren't as great as most think they are. This is not the Jets or the Ravens offense they'll be facing. I think the Vikings would beat the colts too.

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Of course he will. On Sunday evening. |
Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Go be a missionary and saviour of the NFLs rejects and leave the game for good..
|
Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
You are right, but lets also remember that the Saints defense is a joke compared to what the Ravens and Jets bring to the table and in both cases the Colts figured them out and put up points. We put up 30 against the Best defense in football, you guys are 25th....we might see 50.

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
You are a wingnut, Indy! The Saints were under-rated due to their defense being OUT much of the season. We're back and healthy now....muwahhhhhhhahahahahahah!

You know Tony, I usually tell people to get their heads out of their arses, but for you, why don't you shove your head UP your arse. Don't go away mad, just go away.

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
The only reason Dungy has a super bowl win is because the NFL SET IT UP!! And against a LAME coach in Chicago to boot. Now he thinks he's all that. This tool didn't even draft Manning, it was Jim Mora who drafted Manning you jerk. You rode to a super bowl on someone else's team, and you're talking smack? what a loser. Wait and see what we do to your colts. You're right, it won't be close.

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
I've always like Tony Dungy, but I've never really considered him a mastermind type schemer and thinker. I think he does everything with his heart and not his brain; always thinking of his team as his family or something(which is good), but hes always gonna be biased in his picks when the colts are playing.
I also get annoyed by how people think his approval is required to get pasted problems. He made a big deal out of Mike Vick having a drink in an airport bar. Seriously, I don't get it. |
Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Where's Dungy now?? I'd like to hear what he has to say!
