Dungy Won't Shut Up.

It's not even what he says, it's how he words it..never figured him for smug.

"I think they're going to be so far ahead that people are going to say, 'Oh, ho-hum, he played a good game, they won by two scores, the Colts won their second championship,' " Dungy said of Manning on Thursday. "He's going to have those rings Sunday night. I don't think it's going to be close."

"Minnesota is playing in New Orleans, they turn the ball over five times, have two or three stupid penalties and still lose in overtime," Dungy told The Times. "I don't see how it's going to be close. The Colts aren't going to turn it over seven times."

Tony Dungy turned smack talker? LOL.. I agree Psycho it isn't what he says it is how he says it.

I wonder if he would say the same if he was still coaching the Colts. Doubt it.

Everyone seems to give this guy a load of respect- I think he is an *******. Can't stand him- never could. He made some negative comment about the TO commercial with the women in a towel. People act like his word is gospel. HE SHOULD STFU!!!

Wow, so he's statically comparing game results? Wow, that amazes me coming from an NFL coach.

So, using that logic, the Colts barely beat the Patriots by ONE point, and most think the Pats lost due to a bad spot on 4th down.

The Saints beat the Pats 38-17, and it wasn't even really that close.

Therefore its obvious we beat the Colts by 20.

Yep, Saints by 3 scores.

Really? He knows what the Colts offer and he can see what the Saints have done. Do you not think there is a chance the colts will win by 10-14-17 points?

Do you not think there is a chance the saints will win by 10-14-17 points especially against the colts defense? Really? Breakdown time. Regular season PO teams the Colts played:
AZ- Colts win by 21
Pats - Colts win by 1 (WWWWWWOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW)
Ravens - Colts win by 2
Total points against PO teams = 24

PO teams the saints played during regular season:
Eagles - Saints win by 26
Jets - Saints win by 14
Pats - Saints win by 21
Total points against PO teams = 61 - holy crap, a difference of 37 points!

Now lets do POs:
AZ- Saints win by 31
Vikes - Saints win by 3
Total points - 34

Ravens - Colts win by 17
Jets - Colts win by 13
Total points - 30

Last I checked, 34 > 30.

Can the Saints beat the Colts by 10-14-17+ points - ABSOLUTELY.
Don't believe me, double check the records and recheck my math. Saints much more impressive!

LOL, I obviously like the Saints too! I don't know how else to show this kid how wrong he is. If that breakdown doesn't help, than I don't know what will. Just look at the points scored with the Almighty Manning vs Brees. And the sad part is I didn't even make the most obvious and glaring difference between the PO teams:

Favre/Warner>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Flacco/Sanchez. It's just not even funny, it's kinda sad when you think about it, lol!

Well thanks so much. You guys/girls are very welcoming, one of the friendliest forums I've visited. No arrogance, rudeness, disrespect to other teams, even the colts considering how obnoxious their fans can be/are. I just wish someone could explain why the Saints aren't favored, they should be, numbers and quality of wins don't lie. And more importantly, why Brees wasn't the MVP because his numbers are more impressive than the Sacred One's. I mean, look what he's done for the Saints as a team. Nevermind, just answered my question...golden boy of the NFL must win every year because, well, he's the Sacred One.

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.

Nice numbers, now can you find a team that beat the Colts by 10 or 17 or 20 points when the entire A team played? Really give it a try, go back as far as you need and let me know the last time a team thumped the colts when they were playing to win.

Yes indeed .... I can't believe Dungy is giving the Saints even more motivation. WOW! This could actually get ugly, except in the Saints favor.. SP and Brees have got to be salivating at the prospect of torching that 2nd to 3rd string set of CB on the defense of the Colts! :bng:

Oh this is just plain BS, obnoxious BS at that. A team should play to win all the time, no matter who's playing. If an organization finds it acceptable for a team to not play to win is a crap organization. Spin it anyway you want, it's a loss. The question read "why wouldn't you think the colts can beat the saints by...so on and so on", I answered that... not "find me a team that has beaten the colts EVER...." That's so irrelevant to this year and has nothing to do with anything. The Steelers don't get thumped either, and they sucked this year. Means nada, squat, nuthin. Want me to point out the number of choke jobs by the Colts? The Colts do nothing special. They aren't more special than the Saints. They are a good team in the SB this year representing the AFC. They can be beaten very easily by a large span, a small span, a half a point, whatever. Man, you gotta know that outside of homerville, Indiana no one bows down to the colts, right? Or don't you get out much?

Those who ignore history are bound to repeat it. Fact is the Colts don't get blown out when they play to win. Fact, the Colts did not play to win either the Jets or Bills game. Not due to injury, but by not playing our starters by choice, the Colts organization decided that resting players was more imporant then winning the game.

Congratulations, the Colts don't get blown out. Neither do a lot of teams. Doesn't mean it can't/won't happen. I know they chose to rest the players, that's no excuse to not play to win. All that does is show the lack of depth on that team and sorry times, they are a-comin' and the wagon will be empty yet again. Bottom line, quit wasting your time and mine trying to shove your beloved colts down my and everyone elses' throat. It ain't happening. I don't have anything against the Colts, I just don't think they're all that, you won't change that. I am rooting for the Saints (along with most of everyone in the country), I believe the Saints have the better team, I believe they can win by WHATEVER MARGIN, I don't think the colts are invincible, Manning doesn't walk on water and I care even more less if the Colts never get blown out - goodie for them, let me buy them ice cream. I just can't be more clear. You're wasting your time.

That was a different team. It was before Darren Sharper, Gregg Williams, and other key players we've picked up this year.

Your argument is invalid.
