Dungy Won't Shut Up.
It's not even what he says, it's how he words it..never figured him for smug.
"I think they're going to be so far ahead that people are going to say, 'Oh, ho-hum, he played a good game, they won by two scores, the Colts won their second championship,' " Dungy said of Manning on Thursday. "He's going to have those rings Sunday night. I don't think it's going to be close." "Minnesota is playing in New Orleans, they turn the ball over five times, have two or three stupid penalties and still lose in overtime," Dungy told The Times. "I don't see how it's going to be close. The Colts aren't going to turn it over seven times." LINK to Today's article |
Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Relax, he's a homer, and he's usually wrong.

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Tony Dungy turned smack talker? LOL.. I agree Psycho it isn't what he says it is how he says it.
I wonder if he would say the same if he was still coaching the Colts. Doubt it. |

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Wow, so he's statically comparing game results? Wow, that amazes me coming from an NFL coach.
So, using that logic, the Colts barely beat the Patriots by ONE point, and most think the Pats lost due to a bad spot on 4th down. The Saints beat the Pats 38-17, and it wasn't even really that close. Therefore its obvious we beat the Colts by 20. Yep, Saints by 3 scores. |

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Dungy got lucky in Indy because of a team he inherited. He is also a very stupid man who I don't respect anymore.
|
Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Really? He knows what the Colts offer and he can see what the Saints have done. Do you not think there is a chance the colts will win by 10-14-17 points?

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Nope, Colts won't win at all! ;) And Dungy....well he's just too busy being a talking head these days to have any real insight.
|
Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Mr. fabulous also said the Cowboys had, "No chance" against the Saints. It was stupider than the foolishness Deion spurts. Dungy is no prophet. Mike Ditka is the best at picking games...not Dungie

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
I used to respect Dungy because he seemed to give good insight.
He's a noob. |

AZ- Colts win by 21 Pats - Colts win by 1 (WWWWWWOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW) Ravens - Colts win by 2 Total points against PO teams = 24 PO teams the saints played during regular season: Eagles - Saints win by 26 Jets - Saints win by 14 Pats - Saints win by 21 Total points against PO teams = 61 - holy crap, a difference of 37 points! Now lets do POs: AZ- Saints win by 31 Vikes - Saints win by 3 Total points - 34 Ravens - Colts win by 17 Jets - Colts win by 13 Total points - 30 Last I checked, 34 > 30. Can the Saints beat the Colts by 10-14-17+ points - ABSOLUTELY. Don't believe me, double check the records and recheck my math. Saints much more impressive! |

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Nice numbers, now can you find a team that beat the Colts by 10 or 17 or 20 points when the entire A team played? Really give it a try, go back as far as you need and let me know the last time a team thumped the colts when they were playing to win.

Um...both teams are the road team, you wear your road jeresy's but neither team is playing at their home field. Nice try...well not really...pretty lame...

If the Saints need something like this to "motivate" them, then they have no chance.

Re: Dungy Won't Shut Up.
Those who ignore history are bound to repeat it. Fact is the Colts don't get blown out when they play to win. Fact, the Colts did not play to win either the Jets or Bills game. Not due to injury, but by not playing our starters by choice, the Colts organization decided that resting players was more imporant then winning the game.
