[quote:ad734bb98d] Best Games: Week 3
1. Buffalo at Miami -- An ESPN Sunday nighter that features big AFC East rivals in a truth-telling game. 2. Oakland at Denver -- The AFC West rivalry renewed and a chance to see if the Broncos have turned the corner. 3. St. Louis at Seattle -- Speaking of truth-telling games, this is it in the NFC West. 4. Tampa Bay at Atlanta -- Both lost in Week 2, and one will be 1-2 in the NFC South. 5a. New York Giants at Washington -- Redskins can take an early hold of NFC East by taking advantage of Giants' line woes. 5b. Pittsburgh at Cincinnati -- True, it normally wouldn't merit much mention, but strange things always seem to happen when they play in Cincy. 5c. New Orleans at Tennessee -- Do the Titans have enough healthy bodies?[/quote] Titans? Enough Bodies? Uh-Hem, Mitchell, Howard, Hodge, Carter, Sullivan, T.Smith, Cie Grant, Ford, ??? 6 hurt starters - 5 OUT this week. HEY MORT: Half of our starting defense is out. Do the Titans have enough healthy bodies?????    [Edited on 17/9/2003 by tweeky] |

Just goes to show you that no one is paying attention to the Saints. By the way, Ford will be back this week and will play.
As far as our injuries go on defense. I don\'t think it\'s a bad as it sounds for us. Kenny Smith is replacing Johnathan Sullivan and I don\'t consider this a down grade. I think at this point in their careers that Smith is better RIGHT NOW. Of couse I can\'t say that for all the other players that are injuried but sometimes injuries allow players and opportunity and a star is born. Who knows who might step up!! One positive things about some of the injuries is that when they come back they will be fresh for the stretch run and be 100% healthy. At least most are not lost for the entire season. The backups just have to keep us in the hunt until the starters get back. |

I agree, short term I think Kenny is better, long term I think Sullivan will be dominant. Ford may also have a good game this week going against the team that let him get away! |
