Congrats from INdy
You guys out played us, and out coached us. I believe Brees showed he is in the elite status of the NFL. However I really think there were 3 key moments/plays in the game that swung it to you. First was the drop by our boy Piere in the second quarter. He holds on and we move the chains and who knows. The second was the on side kick. BRILLIANT call by your coach, while ours seemed to be out of touch with Paytons coaching style. Lastly was that drive by the Colts to tie it at 24, for some reason we stopped running the ball, which we were doing very well. I can't figure out why we stopped when we were averaging over 5 yards per carry. But congrats to you all and the Saints, you guys earned it.

Good to see you stop back in. Very Classy. Colstons drop in the first quarter was just a big as Garcons. We would have moved the chains and kept the drive alive. The onsides was obviously huge. Great game and good luck next year.

I trust Payton more than Peyton when it comes to play calling. |

"if" my Aunt had balls she would be my Uncle.
Good of you to come back. No need for "if's". Both teams played great ball. We were in the right place at the right time for key plays. |

Re: Congrats from INdy
whodatsaintsfan26 got it exactly right, saying that Garcon dropping that pass drastically changed the outcome is as irrelevant as Colston not making the catch in the 1st Qtr for the first down.
It was a good team but regardless of the stats the Saints I believe had the better overall intangeables this season and it pushed them over the top to win the Super Bowl. I wouldn't worry too much about the Colts and Peyton getting back to the post-season, they'll be just fine. Hey, why not do this again next year in Dallas and let's have the same result. |

Re: Congrats from INdy
the saints started with a 3-4 def to lure indy to run, which they did effectively. then williams switch to 4-3 and that runnin' wild crap came to an end.

Dallas...hummm, 3 hours away from me! Let's DO do it again next year!
I was thinking about our team, and it is TRULY the intangibles that one cannot coach against. Those being "heart and soul" and something bigger than ego to win for. You can't defend against that! |
