Let the Disrespect Begin...
Saints are 9-1 odds to win next year's Super Bowl, trailing San Diego at 8-1 and...you guessed it...the Colts at 7-1.

Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
That is all silly talk and too far in the future totalk about.
Who knows which team will be in the SB for2010 season? No one has been drafted. No one has been traded. No one has left ,FreeAgent. No games have been played. There 3 teams out of the 32 teams that can be in the SB2010 |

In all seriousness, Vegas can do what they want about the odds, but I can see where we wouldn't be the favorites. Mainly due to the fact that it is so hard to be repeat champions in the world of the NFL. With free agency and the draft, those odds will change quite a bit between now and then. |

Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
It gets much worse - I read some ass nutjob on CBS start with the conspiracy that the the INTs by Farve & Manning were all a plot by the NFL.
Becasue of course the NFL would want 2 small market teams in the SB not the Jets of NY - no never. |
Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
if we can resign all these free agents we have i think we have a damm good shot at repeating

Thats a huge IF. God I hope we can but really I think it impossible. |
Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
Wouldn't it just be a jab in Jerry Jones' eye for us to win a Superbowl in his "palace"?
|
Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
Well, if Gregg Williams stays, I think The Saints should be the favorite. They only knocked out Warner, nearly knocked out Favre, then made the NFL MVP look average.

.. you do realize betting lines have nothing to do with "respect", right?
Vegas doesn't give a hoot about who's better or who's worse, just how much money they get and how it is distributed. |

Of course not. It is based on the gullability of the folks placing bets. |

Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
Who cares.
Enjoy the outcome and who cares what others think. You know come the start of the season all anyone will think is that their team has a shot to win it all... is that disrespect? NO. Everyone has an angle... everyone has an agenda. We will start the season as DEFENDING SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS, I think that about says it all really. WTF does gay power polls are or any Joe Somebody has to say. All that matters is we won a SB. It'll all soon start over again, as you see it already as. |
Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
I'm enjoying this year! I will enjoy it for a long time! Right now, I don't give a hoot about next year. IF I were a betting person, I would bet that neither the Dolts OR the Chargers are in next year's big game. ;)

Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
If Gregg Williams stays and we can remain cohesive by resigning our FA we should have as good a shot as anybody. I hope that we can keep the same chemistry that got us here. I wonder how badly our roster will be raided by the rest of the NFL?

All I know is that I have a $50 ticket for the NFC Championship (8-1 odds) and another $50 ticket for the Super Bowl (16-1 odds) waiting to be cashed out when I go back to Vegas in April!
Can I get a WHO DAT? |
Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
Down here, we'd say....
Cha Ching! But Who DAT! i$ indeed proper use of the term as well... :crowd: |
Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
if anyone goes its going to be the young ones that are money hungry. you can't blame them but we do have first crack at resigning after they get offers right? but they will have solid older guys breaking the doors to get in the saints org. olb and de are my wishes. and bring back sharper one more season then you tell m. jenkins to go and beat him out if you want to start, i see m. jenkins as our future free safety not corner.

Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
how would you guys feel about tim tebow coming if we could get him like in the forth or fifth round. i see him as a qb on short yardage pounder. you can fool the whole league as what he can do on short yardage. as the holder he could sneak it. run it pitch it or throw it. and never have to risk drew sneaking it in. and we won't have to hold our breathes if drew has to pound it in like miami game.
mark brunell 1,000.000 tim tebow 300,000 the savings in the pudding, just thinking guys |
Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
The Colts should be the favorites next year. Didn't they just set a record for the most 12-win seasons in a row? They are consistently very competitive in a way no other team has been. The Saints were the best this year, but they haven't shown that consistency year to year...yet.

Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
i'm not a tebow fan.
i think he'll get exposed in the nfl for not being as good as he thinks he is. |

You would think that after what just happened in the SB people would learn not to listen so much to the talking heads. Nobody has ever had a college career like Tebow's, and I personally would be surprised if he doesn't become a great pro. To the earlier poster suggesting we pick him up in the 4th or 5th...I just don't see any way that he slips that far. |
Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
I'm not a Tebow fan, but as an Ole Miss fan, you understand why.... Now with that said, I will give him this, he's got HEART, and you can't statistically measure that. Although, when it comes to Florida QBs, I get kind of sick thinking of drafting one. Thank you Danny Wuerfal!

Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
No problem if ya'll disagree. You don't need to justify or clarify yourself and I appreciate your demeanor... but it isn't needed with me.
You can just say, horsehockey, tbow rocks. :p I know he has heart but I think he is a cheeseball. Once he gets to the NFL where they put ANYBODIES pants on the ground, we'll see. |

Me too. If he blows up the NFL I'll admit I didn't see it coming.
Cheeseball is pretty much self expanitory. He is velveeta. I think he is fake. It also is a reference to his thinly veiled political/religious preaching while on the natty stage. I have no respect for someone like that. Not to mention I'm an LSU fan, so yea. He sucks. |

I suppose I should qualify my biased position, as well. I just happened to be shipped off to Gainesville right about the time he began his sophomore year, so it was right there in my face, and I caught a little Gator fever during that time. I don't think the guy is fake, and he had enough cajones to promise the world that he would make sure that a letdown like the one they had against the Rebs, my team, would never happen again. He went on to win every game after that short of the SEC championship game...the following year...and I respect him for making that promise and delivering on it. |
Re: Let the Disrespect Begin...
I lived in Florida for about eight years North of the Clearwater
area on the coast in a little marina village named Ozona. I miss that place but not the tourists. People leave their common sense back at the house when they visit Florida for vacation, it seems. Many sneaux birds too. They were kinda weird... but other than that I really dug Florida. I raced windsurfers professionally while there and was a sales rep for water sports products... sailboards, wetsuits and the like. http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/...troduction.jpg Florida rocks. Tebow doesn't. |

Yes, of course. BTW, I'm a Miami Fan.
The locals down there all hated the "other" Florida teams so I kinda migrated to the Canes. Never looked back. |
