On Peyton Manning.....
seriously the media needs to stfu. They were hyping him up to be the best quarterback ever to live, and now that he lost a super bowl everyone is calling him a choker and overrated. He's a damn good quarterback and Porter made a good play on the ball. You have people saying that the greats would never throw an interception like that, which is complete bull****. Anyone could do that. I am thrilled my Saints won, and I have a lot of respect for who we beat. Yes he is probably overrated in that he probably isn't the greatest thing to ever step on a field, but he is still pretty damn good.

The media IS the message... and it ain't a pretty picture, is it. Thing is, it could all be changed rather quickly but that is unlikely. It would mean the consumer would demand better programming and content. They like cheese so McDonalds keeps servin' cheeseburgers. |
Re: On Peyton Manning.....
I agree hitta. Although it isn't really the "media" calling Manning a choker it is really just Peon Sanders. Pink slip for Peon from NFL Network would be nice so I can start watching it again.

How do you think Pats fans feel?
Peyton Manning being hyped as the best ever when there isn't just one, but TWO QBs from the last decade with more rings than him. The media is fickle though. Should Brees, or Brady win another one before Peyton watch for the media to change its' stance to them possibly being the best ever. I didn't include Worthlessburger. His 22 QB rating in his first superbowl will keep him off the all time list forever |
Re: On Peyton Manning.....
Manning=soreloser
Drew=class anymore questions? |

I'm bitter that Belichick got blasted when he did and Manning was just called super competitive but neither case bothered me. Let the Saints have the field. Besides, I'm sure Peyton will talk to Brees and some point and congratulate him on his own. |

I don't think either Belichick or Manning meant it as disrespect. If anything, they didn't deserve to be on the field with the winners. |

Maybe next time they meet Manning can bow and kiss the ring, would that make it better? rofl |
Re: On Peyton Manning.....
I officially announce publically I don't give a chit what Peyton has done, is doing or will do. Go mow grass with Brett Favre.

Strato....can't get your point across to a Cowgirl's fan.....;) We all know that, huh! I get it, though. I've always been a Manning fan, for the most part when he's not playing us, and I really thot better of him than to leave the field before time even ran out and not acknowledge Drew or anyone else. It just disappoints (sp), me that he would do that. In the heat of a moment, we all make blunders for sure, though, and it's not unforgiveable....just not classy!

Re: On Peyton Manning.....
If you want hype, how about Brett Favre? He's been in two Super Bowls, won one and lost one, same as Peyton and less than Warner who has won one and lost two but is almost never considered among the "elite". I don't like the Brady hype either because the only reason he was ever good was because they were cheating. He's been very ordinary since the cheating scandal broke and they ran out of tapes of the opposing coaches.

Made Warner Retire, Beat the S@!t out of Farve ( jury still out on retirement), and sent peyton to the locker room early with his tail between his legs. All with a Defense that ( in the words of Peon Sanders) " Can't play dead" WOW , WHO DAT!!!! :bng::bng::bng::bng: |
