Re: These Are YOUR Saints Too!
I most certainly did. When that ball sailed through the uprights in The Vikings game, my Wife squeezed my hand and said through the tears and laughter 'We have got to go!' So we looked down the back of the sofa, raided the piggy banks and it was sorted. Although my passport only had 5 months left so I had to rush it through. Watched it in Broussards on Conti Street just around the corner from Bourbon. My wife said it was the best time of her life and when I said 'What about our Wedding Day?' She said 'Oh yes, that too'. Women, eh?

We loved them before they ever won anything.
Look around New Orleans today. Look around the Dome. Look in your sports hangout with all your crazy friends. (like mine) We were this crazy about our Saints before they ever won a thing. These Are Your Saints! GEAUX! |

I can remember when I lived in Ca. I would go to a Rams game and you could barely tell there was a football game going on. By the third quarter people would start leaving to beat the traffic. Then when Saints would come to town and the place would be full of Saints fans wearing their black and gold and raising hell. There were fights and general mayhem. San Diego was a little friendlier but still kind of laid back.

Houston is exactly like that. The Texans can have a home game, and you can be COMPLETELY UNAWARE there is an NFL event happening here. Sometimes there is no sign of the existence of the Texans.

Absolutely. I was just saying at work today that when a psorts teams moves from the city where it originated, it loses something .It has to start all over with a new name and symbol and everything. The N.O. Jazz-The Utah Jazz?? |
