So, BIGGEST game in Saints history --- at the SB none-the-less and SOME of you knew he'd on-side kick it to start the second half? HA HA HA ... You don't do that crap in 3rd grade mighty-might football ...

I'm stoked he did it, but let's be honest people --- Even the Colts didn't know it was coming and who do you think studied and knew more about the Saints than their team? You didn't know ...
Like I said before, it was talked about in the chat room at half-time...so, to me, it is apparent that the thought crossed many people's mind that Payton would be just the kind of guy to try the SB's first non-4th qtr. on-side kick. What nobody really knew was just how big his boys were.

That I don't doubt but to brag about it is the load that some of us are being sarcastic about. Don't take it personally. It is only a thread.

If you called it good for you. You win. You da man. Talk about the players not yourself and maybe some of us won't poke ya in the i-rib.com

yep...i called it....i knew it was coming.....im pretty much the biggest saints fan ever and i downloaded this app on my iphone that allows me to read payton's mind

it costs millions of dollars so i dont expect anybody else to have it or even know what it is since it costs more millions to even look at it.....in fact, im probably going to get fined millions for even talking about it

I wasn't saying anyone was lying ... I just find it hard to believe that anyone really "called" this ... If you did ... More power to you.
seeing as how you are the one that started this scuffle, i dont think you should be allowed to cry victim

of course we didnt know for sure, like i said before

but there are some of us who guessed it and there are some of us that called it.......and there are some of us who knew that payton was waiting to unleash a secret ambush play because they downloaded the secret iphone app

this thread was for fun, not to toot your own horn but i can see that some people cant handle that they didnt expect it and want to take it out on the people who had a strong feeling that it was coming

Canton The Divider

I had no idea it was coming. Even after I saw the foot hit the ball I thought "what a dumb*** call". Then I jumped for joy 5 minutes later.

Re: Who knew the onside kick was coming?

I don't think it is about fully knowing he was going to do it, but because of his past you may have had suspicion this was coming. I had a suspicion, and I believe that other people may have had too. I do not think it is a far leap. I did not know it before the game began though, and if you asked me then I would have said you were nuts, but by the way the game was going I thought it was possible, and I actually said please don't tell me he is going to start the 2nd half going for an onside kick. I thought it was going to end bad, but it didn't!

Your team stinks

Re: Who knew the onside kick was coming?

I said to myself, "we should kick an onside kick, they have been cheating backwards all season, and I don't think that dumb looking white boy with the emotional wife can catch the dam ball."

The rest is history.

Re: Who knew the onside kick was coming?

That was the biggest gamble I'd even seen in a Super Bowl. Especially when you're only down by 4 points. I was just hoping the defense could hold the Ponies and give the offense a chance to get the lead.

Huge gamble but glad it landed in the Saints favor!!!
