Reggie Bush could be a targer for the Lions in free agency
Tim Twentyman: NFL Insider - The book is officially closed on the 2009-10 season, so it's time to look ahead.
And what better way to start than with Reggie Bush. The question is, will the Saints running back, who added a Super Bowl ring to his resume, be back with the champions, considering he will make $8 million next season and his salary cap number will be $13.5 million? Bush is owed nearly $20 million for the final two years of the six-year, $52.5 million deal he signed with the Saints as the No. 2 pick in 2006. But consider this: His highest rushing total in four seasons is 565 yards, hardly the production you'd expect from the highest paid running back in the NFL next season. According to Sports Illustrated, Saints officials could ask Bush to restructure his contract. If he refuses and is released, there are a number of teams that make sense for Bush. I still think we cut Reggie loose & look at LT from SD. He would be a good fit for us out of the backfield!!

Re: Reggie Bush could be a targer for the Lions in free agency
Reggie made great strides this year toward being the kind of back we thought we were getting when we drafted him. He stopped dancing around and started running through and over people. He also gives our opponent's special teams coaches and defensive coordinators a lot of headaches. I say we need to keep him and see if he continues to progress. We certainly don't want Tomlinson.

I think that when Reggie is playing the dynamics on the field change. I'd like to keep him but if he won't restructure then I won't miss him. He did have a good year just not a great one.

I would like to keep RB, but for much less money. Restructure for sure. No way he is worth that amount. We can find a cat back to do what he does, I think. We shall see though, but I for sure do not want LT |

Has this reporter ever heard of Kevin Smith? I don't think the Lions are looking at Reggie Bush.

I say we cut some fans and keep Reggie.

I think Reggie is definitely heading in the right direction play wise. Buy like others have said, he should take a pay cut or make his contract more incentive based. I would love to see him stay, but not as his current salary.

If for some crazy insane reason he is let go then this article is useless. Because there would be 31 other teams trying to sign #25. |

not a lot of hype surrounding him since he is the running back for the worst team in the league however, he gets the job done and is very consistant running behind a pretty terrible line on a very terrible team reggie would add a great demension to any team because of his ability to do everything but i imagine we keep him here for a lesser salary many people have this love hate relationship with reggie i dont have that.....i dont love or hate reggie.....i like reggie enough to keep him around tho i dont think if we cut reggie we will go out and look for a starting running back.....someone said LT.....thats no going to happen....we have our starting RB and LT seems like hes trying to ***** and moan his way out of san diego |
