Gov. Daniels flies Saints flag for Super Bowl bet
INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels is flying a New Orleans Saints flag outside his Statehouse office after losing a friendly Super Bowl wager with Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.
Daniels' office says in a statement that the flag went on display Tuesday in the Statehouse atrium, where it will remain for a week. In a letter to Jindal, Daniels says "a deal is a deal." Daniels also jokes in the letter that he'll be demonstrating how to cover an onside kick. The onside kick with which the Saints opened the second half was a key to their 31-17 Super Bowl victory over the Indianapolis Colts. |
