UFA Pierre Thomas

Reggie is under contract, and from what alot of people have said is that they would rather trade fans, than lose Reggie. Ok, whatever. Now, if Reggie does get his money next year, then what do we do with Thomas? I for one, think that Pierre showed up during the NFCCG, and the Superbowl, more than Reggie did. 8 million to Bush, means, how much to Thomas? Is Thomas worth more than Bush?

I think he is worth as much Reggie. That guy is the hardest guy to tackle on the field and almost every time he touches the ball positive yards are the result.

really agree, pierre thomas shows up in the most vital situations and brings a dimension to the offense that reggie can't always produce. i'm not sure what mike bells contract is, but i believe he is the odd man out here. Pierre thomas is too good to let go, and reggie has showed he is committed to running between the tackles this season and also lowering his shoulder. Combine that with the big play ability, we have a very good backfield

8 million a year? We can't franchise him, if we franchise Sharper, so a I'm assuming a long term contract is what we're looking at. So 8 million a year, for how long? This is what I'm saying. Keeping Reggie, COULD effect Thomas' contract. Or, will Thomas take less money than Bush, per year, in a long term deal?

from recent stories i heard we will be structuring a contract for sharper, and not using the franchise tag, thats what ive heard from nfl network like

This is weird. Some of the lists I've seen had Thomas listed as a RFA, and some have him listed as a UFA. Either way, he needs to be signed.

I think Pierre has a greater value to the Saints than Bush....Pierre almost always contributes positively, he is productive. We use Reggie as a diversion more than a back.
