The Saints won't let the best RB on the team slip away. Mickey Loomis has done a fantastic job in the front office with keeping players around that have strong work ethic, good character, and most importantly, great field production. I don't see Pierre breaking the bank, but he is definitely due a substantial pay raise. He has done nothing but produce when he is on the field and he has earned everything coming to him.

I think its the whole obsession with measurables problem.
Not very big, but big enough.
Not very fast, but fast enough.
Not super impressive on tape, but good enough.
Not a big name football factory, but good enough.

And as someone mentioned he split carries with Mendenhall so no one was sure he could handle full time NFL RB duties.

On day 1, he was no better than that prima donna we drafted from tOSU. But he worked his butt off every day and got better and better.

In my opinion, he turned mediocre talent (by NFL standards) into above average talent by busting his butt every single minute in practice.

He did it the old fashioned way. He earned it.

I think that if he wants too much money then let him walk. He played very well for a little bit of money.....it is time to pay the man, just not too much.

I'm a loyal Pierre fan. Keeping someone like him around is a no brainer to me. He is yards after the catch, tackle attempt... hell, he gains yards from the second they hand him the ball. To tackle him hurts, I assure you.

No doubt - He is a keeper. Good heart, good legs, takes a hit - delivers hit & does not get tackled much by the first guy
