Should the Saints re-sign Pierre Thomas?

I think its the whole obsession with measurables problem.

And as someone mentioned he split carries with Mendenhall so no one was sure he could handle full time NFL RB duties.

In my opinion, he turned mediocre talent (by NFL standards) into above average talent by busting his butt every single minute in practice.

He did it the old fashioned way. He earned it.

coming from someone who didnt have a lot of respect for pierre thomas, i believe we should keep him because he is our best back right now

he breaks more tackles per game than any running back i see and has improved a lot on carrying the ball correctly and holding onto it tight

as of now i really dont see a lot of improvements that he can make and i still dont believe he increased his squats that much or whatever somebody said this offseason but the dude is a baller

he deserves a new contract

a role model on hard work and perseverance...

so there are three only three questions...

what will the market bear?

what will the other back compromise?

what will the draft afford?

So...when the question is asked in regard to PIERRE Thomas, who gets it right?

he doesnt get to ask.. he is a restricted FA; the saints more then likely will place the 1st n 3rd round tender on him and let him talk to other teams; if the other team signs him the saints can match and automatically win or can let him walk and take the 1st n 3rd round pick

The Saints won't let the best RB on the team slip away. Mickey Loomis has done a fantastic job in the front office with keeping players around that have strong work ethic, good character, and most importantly, great field production. I don't see Pierre breaking the bank, but he is definitely due a substantial pay raise. He has done nothing but produce when he is on the field and he has earned everything coming to him.
