Payton is amazing.....

Did any of you watch the NFL presents, Superbowl 44? Ok, dumb question..... But did you guys notice that Payton called the touchdown over Usama, before it happened??? Seems if he knew that, he would have done more to stop it. Although, two guys were supposed to cover it. Young, and Harper.... They both got burned! I just thought it amazing that if you listen to Payton during the game, he called almost every play that the Colts ran against us.... He is a HOF coach guys, no question...

Re: Payton is amazing.....

Payton has improved each year both as a coach and in building his team & staff.

Players love him and he's made some great personnel moves. Pay-cut for a Superbowl...? Let's hope his "team first" leadership is contagious.

Risks? Sure, why not?

And to think how many people here wanted him gone.

Re: Payton is amazing.....

the thing that i like about coach payton so much is he never makes the same mistake twice, in the both 07-08 seasons he made some choices that were suspect, be it playcalling or wateva. In 09 the only mistake i believe he made was the d-ware one, didn't help bushrod out all day. He certainly learned from that experience and it payed off. However when it came to the decision that to be a superbowl team we needed to add a running game to the top ranked passing attack, and also the style in which he gave up 250 grand to get a dominant defenseand have a shot at a superbowl. Which we all know now played out extremely well, good job coach!!

Also notice that the sack that Freeny got in the superbowl, was because Thomas missed the chip block. He says it on the replay.

On the Usama touchdown Payton clearly says "Roman better get back there"

Obviously he didn't.

That cleats thing, that happened with Mike Bell, was funny too. I thought he was mad at him, until he took responsibility for it immediately after it happened.
