I'm not just saying that either, if you watch the games from this year he wiffs on tackles quite often. in the SB Addai made him look silly more than once.

Harper is good at these things, yes, but for Ed Reed/ Troy P money you need to be able to do everything. And that's the kind of money he would get with a franchise tag.
Dude you've lost your mind. Sharper finished 3rd in Defensive player of the year honors. THIRD! He led the league in Interceptions, Interceptions returned for TD's and INT Return yds. I watched every game this year and the thing that impressed me most was how vicious his fills were against the run. I think he is absolutely worth the $6MM ESPECIALLY with no salary cap in place.

respectfully disagree, COMPLETELY. I like this move by the FO - No tag, offer him a sensible 2-3 year deal. If he doesn't want it he walks. I think he will take it however. But he isn't worth 6 mil.

Agree with Psycho here-- our defensive backfield is getting expensive, and Sharper showed signs of wear and tear LAST year. What can we expect in 2010?

I'd love to have him, but with 23 other FA's to worry about, we can't afford anything over $4.5 mill

Luckily it's an ESPN story, so it's gotta be at least half wrong.
