Why would we want him? Has he not lost a step or two? Would he perform better than PT?

No but probably better than Bell, and if Bush is cut he'd be a nice 2 year stopgap as a #2 RB.

i think if we can replace Bell with LT then it will get done..LT knows Brees..I think he can perform the roll that Bell did plus he is a recieving threat..all 3 backs (pt/bush/lt) would then be a screen pass threat where as with bell in, he was not getting too many screen passes thrown his way..he only had 4 receptions for 12 yds all year

we need a backup bruiser. RB's have a very short life span in the NFL and bruisers are hard to come by. Three guys of the "same" skill set are too much. LT is not a fit. Unless you're planning to trade Reggie for a 1st rounder. Then, well, I'll go as far as mmmaaaayyyybeeee.

Looks like Bell isn't going to be offered a deal, so the writing may be on the wall concerning this one. I am kind of mixed on this, I would easily say LT has lost a step, but looking at the entire situation you have to remember San Diego didn't run the ball well with any of their backs this past season.

The key to Tomlinson's decision is the Saint's decision on Bush. If we decide to keep Reggie around, I find it hard to believe that we could get LT. If Reggie is gone, I'm thinking LT is a sure thing.
