Re: Panthers Released Jake!
thanks homer at least you have and open mind in this debate i think to that he brings us a better chance if he had to play. he ran for his life the last couple of years there. i never trusted brunell if ever he had to come in. i really think we would have been in deep crap last year if he played. games that would be loses is washington, carolina twice, miami, buffalo, all the games we fell behind would have been loses. drew brees is a future hall guy, how can he ever be replaced.

Re: Panthers Released Jake!
1-JD 's best days are over.
2-His age. 3-It would cost the Saints a lot of money to buy him. Do you think he will sign for free? 4-He will be a back-up, on the bench QB. 5-He would not want that. Who wants to be a first string QB , still good for a weaker team in rebuilding phase where he could be thee QB, but settle for a team coming off a SB win that will keep their SB QB . 6-JD is from LA and it is a feel good story and that is all. It is a nice little comfort thing for many Saints fans. Feel good and comfort feelings does make winning games. 7-There is not future in having him as a back-up QB. 8-The Saints Sb team is going through a small reshuffling, rebuilding process as it is due to FA. 9-It would better and cheaper tofind that younger QB, just starting, and pay less and mold him. Yeah, this is luck of the draw, draft, FA, whatever, but Brees will not be around forever. Nor will Manning, Manning, Brady, Farve, Romo, etc. 10-Saints fans have bitterness about JD vs. AB which is partly fiction, old stuff, unfair, and just old . Let the past sleep. JD is the past for the brief time he was here. |
