The first day of free agency is the NFL is only half over and it isn't quite the frenzy so far that everyone usually sees. Let's take a look though and see what has been going on so far.

DE Kyle Vanden Bosch (Titans) has agreed to a 4-year deal worth an estiamted $26 million with the Lions as well. ~ DE Julius Peppers (Panthers) is set to visit the Chicago Bears today but already has an offer from the New England Patriots as well. The Eagles are also said to have an interest in Peppers. The Bears have already agreed to a 5-year deal with TE Brandon Manumaleuna (Chargers). RB Chester Taylor (Vikings) is also scheduled to visit with the Bears on Friday. ~ Saints' LB Scott Fujita has a visit scheduled with the Cleveland Browns on Saturday. ~ LB Karlos Dansby (Cardinals) has a visit in Miami to meet with the Dolphins on Friday. ~ The Philadelphia Eagles kept one of their own by re-signing FB Leonard Weaver to a 3-year deal for $11 million and could grow to $11.7. We all seem to be obsessed with Darren Sharper. Sean Payton made it clear that the team would like to have him back, and Sharper really wants to re-sign, and play for the Saints. I think it is likely that DS will retire as a Saint.

Cleveland Browns | Browns sign Fujita, Pashos
A friend of mine just informed me that Fuji did indeed sign with the Browns this morning. He sent me this article and they also confirm they signed him. This sucks! |
