Darren Sharper getting interest from other teams; Saints re-sign one of their own; Boldin traded
Safety Darren Sharper was told last year that he was "too old" to produce well enough and stay on a part of the Minnesota Vikings. He then joined the Saints and snagged 9 interceptions, returned 3 for touchdowns, and helped them win Super Bowl XLIV.
Signed only to a one-year contract, Sharper became an unrestricted free agent at season's end and was not franchise tagged by the team. He wasn't even offered anything yet so now other teams are looking to see if the old man still has it. No visits have been scheduled yet for Sharper to visit other teams, but rumors are swirling that there is interest out there.
