This pretty much guarantee's that he will be a Saint next year. We wont be the same team next year without him. On defense that is.

Now everyone looks kind of foolish for screaming for the FO to sign Sharper. They know more than any of us message board creepers. Freaking trust Loomis, the guy has done an amazing job and this just shows that he knows what he is doing. They knew they could sign him for a lot less money than he was asking for because nobody would sign him with a bum wheel.
