i was thinking the same thing. i wonder if they arent planning on moving jenkins to safety with greer and porter playing as well as they are.

thats what i was thinking, if malcolm is advanced enough to play safety in the league, his attributes definetley suit him for the position, his size and hitting power are very good. Plus his instincts would be better suited at the safety position, if it does come to that, hopefully malcolm got some very good mentoring from somewhere

Re: Why are we not interested in OJ Atogwe?
Rams FS O.J. Atogwe will reach unrestricted free agency on June 1 if the team does not sign him to a long-term deal, guarantee a 2010 contract of $7 million, or trade his rights.
The predicament has to do with Atogwe's right of first refusal tender. Currently a restricted free agent, Atogwe can be signed to an offer sheet until April 15. If he fails to draw an offer, Atogwe can force the Rams' hand on the $7 million guaranteed, knowing that the team will lose his rights by June. Source: Santa Rosa Press-Democrat Does anyone believe the Rams are willing to let a key playmaker in their defense walk? Let's say we are interested, with the contract extensions and re-signing of key free agents already on the team, can we really afford what he's going to be looking for? With possible replacements for Sharper already on the roster, are we willing to trade for his rights with a high round draft pick and give him a contract extension? I'd say our realistic chance of acquiring his services may not be worth it given with these circumstances. |
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
All little common sense goes a long way. |
