Anyone that watched Carolina saw Jakie-poo do that to poor Steve Smith all year long. Jake is not a better option.

Re: Jake Delhomme to Visit Saints
I sort of agree with what you are saying, but remember one thing. Steve Smith is the only receiving threat the Panthers have. Muhammad, although fairly serviceable at his age, still wasn't the answer for them as a #2 receiver. Jarrett was hit or miss. Mostly miss. Their tight ends leave a lot to be desired. In Jake's defense, he was trying to force a lot of passes to the only playmaker the team has in the receiving corps. Not to say that he didn't have a bad season, because he truly did. I just think there is more to it than that. It kind of reminds me of the Browns QB situation, but they have absolutely ZERO playmakers on offense and no offensive line and that makes Anderson and Quinn look drastically worse statistically.

They are a decent team that suffered through at least the last year and a half of some of the worst QB play ever by a 'starting' NFL QB. The stats back it up. The wins and losses back it up, and the fact that they just took something like a 12m dollar hit to get rid of the guy should tell anyone all they need to know.

We are not aking him to start. We are asking him to come off the bench and take over while Brees is out. Do you really think Daniels or Brunell would be better? You MUST be a AB fan. |

As for AB, I supported the guy, yes. I'm no hater. I also don't see where that has diddly poo to do with this discussion. ![]() |
