RFA Viking Ray Edwards
Charley Walters of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports it won’t be surprising if the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints or the Philadelphia Eagles make an offer to Vikings pass rusher Ray Edwards, a restricted free agent.
The Vikings have tendered Edwards at a relatively low $2.512 million. The Vikings would have seven days to match offers by other teams, or would accept the signing team’s first-round draft pick this year. In the case of the Saints, that would be the No. 32 overall pick. The Eagles have the No. 24 overall pick. Re: RFA Viking Ray Edwards
not for our first rounder
his numbers are not that much better than charles grants and we obviously wouldnt keep grant for a first rounder not a fan of edwards, he is good with the vikings but without kevin williams, pat williams, and jared allen....is he as good? i say no but thats debatable i dont watch him enough to say otherwise |

It made me want to kill every Vikings fan from here to Sioux Falls. Ok, enough blabbering. I'm not really sure if Edwards would fit well with our defense. But I don't really know enough about him to make that analysis. If he's worth it, go for it, I guess. |

Re: RFA Viking Ray Edwards
Well Voodoo, I must say like Canton has expressed I dont think edwards is worth a #1 I'd give the vikes a #3 and make them pay for his signing bonus, he played well in the post season but he's not worth a #1.. If no DT OLB is worthy of a 32 selection trade down for a 2 or a 2011 1st, trading down is more them economical, Jerry Hughes is a Monster and i'm sure with a few pick swaps he can be wearing a FDL in no time,
