Re: Position Breakdown: Tight End
Know Shockey had some TD's and David Thomas really came on; but this position has been a little disappointing considering the investments made...
And Yes, I am a Shockey Fan... |

Me too ( Shockey Fan ) I like that Billy Miller will be coming back. Draft oh I don't know Aaron Hernandez from Florida.

Re: Position Breakdown: Tight End
We have great TEs but thy kinda blend in to the background because of all the other weapons we have.

Re: Position Breakdown: Tight End
Want to see some more HEALTHY youth added. Smarts is the key.
Dennis Pitta, BYU in the third gets my vote Flexibility to play TE and other positions and cause mismatches Dorin Dickerson, Pittsburgh in the second gets my vote also. Heck I could live if we ended up with both |

Re: Position Breakdown: Tight End
Gotta agree. Big fan of Shockey and Thomas made some good moves, but we need the young guys that are consistently HEALTHY. Gets the game too nerve wracking when the ones you count on are going to the sidelines limping... |

Re: Position Breakdown: Tight End
Shockey was a real team player last season. I was surprised that he could fit in that well. When he's healthy he's very good. Billy Miller was ready for a good season when he went down last year and I really liked what Thomas did for us last year. Next year in the draft or another good trade are distinct possibilities. We need to address defense first and foremost in the draft.

Re: Position Breakdown: Tight End
Shockey is a true difference maker. The team plays a lot better when he is on the field. He is not able to stay healthy, thugh. Thomas is an excellent reciever asd H back but is not a strong enough blocker. Billy Miller is coming of a really serious injury and is at the very end of his career. Unlikely he'll ever be the same Billy Miler we expect to see. Dinkns is old as well. Need to draft a young TE for the future.
