Lions speak on possible use of Hargrove...
Lions coach Jim Schwartz said that restricted free agent DL Anthony Hargrove would "play end on first and second down and then rush from the inside on third down" if he ends up signing with Detroit.
Hargrove, who has never really lived up to his potential, visited Detroit last week but does not have an offer yet. However, it sounds like Schwartz wants Hargrove in the fold as the defensive line overhaul in Detroit continues. I could see this actually. When I was reading how the Lions would plan on using him, it made me think "Why can't we do this with him?". Have him on the end on 1st and 2nd down and move him to the middle on 3rd down with McCray coming in at end. |
