You know how I feel about Bobby...but without getting into that, I have to call you on a couple of things. I think it is very questionable as to whether he read defenses better than Joe, and to say that he might have ran better than Elway...well, I'm just going to leave it at..."I don't think so!" :)

No really, I know we all think of Elway as a great runner-- I'm not sure he had that much speed, relatively speaking. Elway's real magic was his ability to throw pinpoint from a near dead run, a long pass-- but as for raw footspeed, I believe Bobby was in the same ballpark. Neither one of them was a threat to Mel Gray. I know he had some power. I might be wrong.

You do know Walsh had to cut his playbook in half for Montana his first year, right? Hebert was already dealing with half a playbook, and you have to admit we had the ball control game down. You also gotta admit he did possess NFL QB caliber tools, esp. for a guy who came to the league from the USFL.

Got the point of intent of first poster..
But why bitter Payton Manning was a class act never spoke negative about the Saints. Played the game and used the Officials as any QB would and Should. Archie just supported his son as any parent should. Ive pulled for the Saints my whole life but believe if my son were drafted into the NFL even by the Hated Falcons or Cowboys I would be proud of him and support him. Even Pull for him if he played my Saints. He is my SON!!!

EDIT... I thought it through a bit more ... hed be on his own dammit I was a WHO DAT before I knew him who the hell does he think he is Id egg his damn house with rotten eggs!!!...LOL

Montana and Elway never zinged the ball 60 feet out of the back of the endzone on 4th down in the playoffs either.

Two of the most under-rated Saints of the early years.

This is the guy who held the record for the longest TD interception return until Darren Sharper broke it this year. He played 9 seasons actually had a Pro bowl.

Moore played , like 13 seasons and saw a total of 7 head coaches in New Orleans.
