Preliminary audition information
The New Orleans Saintsation Cheerleaders have announced today that preliminary auditions for the 2010 team will be held on Saturday, April 10th, 2010 at the Saints Indoor Practice Facility in Metairie, Louisiana.

We are looking for dedicated young women who are physically fit, talented in dance/cheer, and are able to present themselves in a professional manner. Because the Saintsations are influential role models to the youth in our communities, we will select women that are committed to leading a healthy, productive lifestyle.

The Saintsations are one of the premier dance teams in the NFL. Incorporating high-energy routines with professionalism, this elite group has earned the reputation of being one of the most versatile and entertaining squads in the league. Their annual New Orleans Saintsations Swimsuit Calendar and the “behind-the-scenes” television show about the making of the calendar have catapulted the team into regional celebrities.

In addition to performing at NFL Saints home football games, the Saintsations have traveled to Iraq and Afghanistan to visit our troops, and to Mexico City and London to promote the NFL. They have appeared on the Dr. Phil show, 2006 Comic Relief Live Television Show and on National television commercials. They have also appeared in Sports Illustrated, Maxim magazine, FHM magazine, competed in the nationally televised NFL Cheerleading championship, appeared in events surrounding the NFL Super Bowl and competed against other NFL cheerleading teams at the Super Bowl Beach challenge. Additionally, the team supports community projects through the “Saintsations Inspiration Program.” The primary focus of the 2010 program is to promote positive initiatives geared toward women and children.

In essence, this highly recognized and respected group of women serves as goodwill ambassadors for the NFL and the New Orleans Saints organization. Team members perform at many exciting events and make numerous personal appearances including modeling and public speaking throughout the world.

Join us as we embark on an exhilarating season with the New Orleans Saints and the New Orleans Saintsations! The Saintsations will have a busy and exciting year! We look forward to seeing you at the 2010 preliminary auditions which will be held April 10, 2010!

I would try out, but I don't live anywhere near the Greater New Orleans area :cry:

I'm afraid I don't live in New Orleans anymore. I just visit a lot. Besides, there might be a problem with the code of conduct from when ... oh, nevermind.

Thanks for the vote of confidence but I don't live in New Orleans or close enough to make the practices anymore. I wonder if they make more than $25 a game now. Heck, that doesn't cover cab fare to the Dome!

Well heck! They want girls to have been living in a convent since they were 12 to apply, but then, I guess the SaintSations do have a lot of interaction with the junior SaintSations so I guess they don't want anyone who might be a bad influence.

Everyone needs a place like New Orleans where nobody knows them so they can let their hair down and be themselves. I can only project that conservative and professional image for so long before I want to scream! I'd go crazy if I didn't have New Orleans to run off to once or twice a month.

(BTW, I will be in Vegas in three weeks! ;))

New Orleans is too much like a second home to me, and I have a lot of family there, so I can't go all "buckwild" when I go home to visit.

Nah. Traveling to Vegas is too much of an ordeal to go as often as I need to get away to keep my sanity. I need it at least once a month. Besides, the Saints don't play in Vegas.

Ahhhhh, Vegas. I'll miss your visit there by a few weeks. Maybe next time. I've never spent a penny gambling in Vegas, but I have certainly had some fun there...

I've never been. I'm excited. I don't gamble, but I have a small shopping addiction, so I'm sure I'll still come home broke! :D

Probably. There are many ways to spend a buck in Vegas. Make sure you see the water show at the Bellagio, and do it from atop the mini-eiffel tower across the street.

I'll be in Vegas at the end of April. I'm still trying to decide if my wife and I are going to "O" Circue du Soleil or to Jerry Seinfeld.

The Stratosphere was fun but once is enough for me.

First time I went I didn't know all that crap was on the roof, so when I was up there enjoying the view and felt the building shake a little, I nearly did a 10/100 right there on the floor. LMAO

Near the strip around good food. I'm not getting married, not in to the freaky stuff and can't stand Celine Dion or that cheesy Danke Shein guy.

That's the way people feel about me now. It's definitely the end result that counts, not how I got here. Don't get me started on that "code of conduct" thing.

As far as being wild; that's all relative and there's a time and place for it. If someone's daughter saw me doing something that would be considered a bad example, I'd have to ask what she was doing on Bourbon Street after midnight. ;)
