Re: what is our biggest need?
Canton,
Without the benefit of knowing where our RFA's will be in 2010, and not knowing what Arnoux can do...I find it difficult to vote. It is certain Vilma, Shanle will be the Mike and Will LB'ers. Casillas? Waters? Arnoux? Jo-Lonn Dunbar? There is some good young talent in that group...IMHO. Move Hargrove back to DE? Clancy and Ayodele at NT? DE appears to be the "biggest need". I know everyone is wanting defense, defense, defense, however, I believe a young tight end and center are needs (especially in the middle rounds). Enough of the WR facination!!!!! If the past is indicitive of the future, then the Saints will seek a RB in UDFA. Biloxi |

I'd like an upgrade on the line, but we need speed at LB. It'll let Gregg Williams dial up a lot more blitz's. We've got some talent in house, so we might be better off than everyone thinks. Granted, we can upgrade!

shanle does a great job considering he has one of the toughest jobs in the NFL having to cover not only dallas clark and visanthe shiancoe in the playoffs, but also jason witten, kellen winslow, tony gonzalez, fred davis, and brian celek sure he isnt jabari greer.....but those TEs are very talented and shanle held them to about 3 catches per game every time they played mccray cant stop the run at all....you know what happened in our first play of the playoffs? tim hightower to the endzone running right at bobby mccray also you'll notice near the end of the year, all it took was a max protect for our blitzes to be completely nullified.....we couldnt get pressure if we wanted to and all teams like dallas had to do was keep us on our heels. we cant blitz successfully if the blockers arent occupied by other players. a big DT or DE solves that problem |
