this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I dunno guys. Ya'll think Tampa wouldn't LOVE to start Henderson? Carolina? Atlanta? Brees would make Jerry Rice look better, so no argument from me on that at all, however I think we have a nice group of WRs....

Re: What if we draft Offense in the first?
Then by that statement Brees makes the center better by not mishandling the snap. The RB better by handing it off...etc
I just want to give credit where credit is due. Our recievers are a very good set of recievers and could start for other teams in the NFL as long as they have a QB that can deliver the ball to them. |

I Agree. We all know Randy Moss is a really good WR. How did he look in Oakland? Good WRs make QBs seem great and vice versa.

If it was offense I'd pick a TE or OL.

TE why we already have Shocky and Thomas. Where does a te fit? I could see ol so that would be my choice.

Re: What if we draft Offense in the first?
I have to say if the Saints feel they must draft an offensive player in the first round, the only justifiable position would have to be TE. (Not sure of what prospects are available at TE, haven't paid too much attention to it yet). My reasoning is the TE position is big in this offense, and Shockey hasn't been exactly all that healthy the past two seasons with the Saints, and for several seasons with the Giants. Another young TE to help would be a big plus, and he could be developed to eventually be the full time starter in a year or two.

Re: What if we draft Offense in the first?
what Matt T said. To many TE injuries and we need to groom a young one to eventually take over. Shockey is good but he hasn't played a full healthy season yet.

Re: What if we draft Offense in the first?
We need to go defense first. Our D was great last year but it could be better. Our offense was virtually unstoppable, I don't think you can get much better then that.
