McCarthy's Game Plan?

Mike McCarthy has stated this week that he doesn't plan on changing his game plan. In every game this year his plan has been to establish the run with McAllister and throw when neccessary. It's obvious to me and many others that defenses are playing the run and daring the offense to pass. The problem IMO, is that McCarthy doesn't have the personel on the field that gives the offense the best chance to suceed.

I'm a firm beleiver in "If it ain't broke then don't fix it", but it's obvious that it is broken.
If McCarthy's plan doesn't work in the begining this week, how long is too long, before he should change his plan?
