Alex Brown says he doesn't have to bulk up to play left end
Alex Brown said he doesn’t believe he will have to bulk up to play left end for the New Orleans Saints.
Six days after the Chicago Bears released him, Brown signed a $5.5 million, two-year contract with the Super Bowl champions, who will look to play him on the left side after he spent eight seasons playing almost exclusively right end. The Saints had been patiently shopping for a replacement for left end Charles Grant, after he was released early in the offseason. Brown began a visit there Tuesday and a deal was struck this afternoon between general manager Mickey Loomis and Brown’s agent Joel Segal. Brown believes he’s up to the task of playing left end, and he’s always defended the run well. read the rest Alex Brown says he doesn't have to bulk up to play left end | National Football Post |

Re: Alex Brown says he doesn't have to bulk up to play left end
All the comments I've read on Alex Brown have been positive. Not a game-changer, but a very good, solid performer and team man who shows up on every play. Unlike our former left DE. He is excited about being here. He seems like an excellent pickup.

Maybe he could bulk up after he starts eating good cajun food.

Meh, he better do something, everybody will be coming after the Reigning superbowl champions (DAMN I LOVE SAYING THAT!!!!!!) ... with full force trying to disable and take us down as much as possible..
You better believe Vikings will be trying to mess up our entire season, they'd better be seriously prepared.. Sean Payton will tell Alex what he needs to do, he's going to find out real quick who calls the shots in the Saints Lockerroom. |

I sure would like to see us force some 3-and-outs. I love the turnover as much as the next guy, but I'd prefer to shut people down a bit more. Hopefully Alex will 'bring the wood' to the run "D". We need the help.

Dunlap is going to start at LDE. LOL. But Brown is going to get plenty of reps.
