New Orleans Saints restricted free agents begin to re-sign in earnest

As of early Tuesday afternoon, the Saints had signed three more of their restricted free agent players agreed to contracts, according to the team and various agents.

The Saints began the day with 12 restricted free agents to whom the team had offered tenders, and that list began to dwindle when tight end David Thomas, defensive tackle Reme Ayodele, and offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod all agreed to return with the defending Super Bowl champions.

Now, if the Saints could just get Jahri Evans and Pierre Thomas signed, it would be icing on the cake.
