brown is a 2 time pro bowl LT......he has missed significant time only once in his career(last year).....he isnt as injury prone as people make him out to be oh yea.....and our backup that we put in last year......stunk here's a little tid bit to help you understand what im talking about He led the league in rushing average behind left tackle while only allowing 3 sacks in 2008.....and those holding and false start penalties he had? brown was credited with 7 penalties all season in 2008......combined he made up for 10 bad plays the entire season when we passed the ball more than any other team in history and our starting LT only gives up 3 sacks and is credited with only 7 penalties all season......BROWN IS A STUD Quote:

How you liking Brown now?!? Trade his arse now and get a guy that wants to be here; and no, if you didn't play you shouldn't get a ring, tough break  but that's how it should be... It's not a dig on you, it's just this all I've ever seen out of this guy and that's why I would love to get even a R2 pick for 'em |

Here's what Pat Yasinkas wrote two days ago: Falling New Orleans offensive tackle Jammal Brown. He reportedly will stay away from offseason workouts and we can only assume that’s Brown’s way of stating he wants a big, long-term contract. That’s a bit of a risky move. Brown is an above average left tackle, but he’s not dominant. He missed last year with an injury and the Saints got by with Jermon Bushrod and Zach Strief. That wasn’t an ideal situation, but it showed the Saints can function without Brown. That could turn out to be a sign of things to come. Take a look around the league. Teams aren't rushing to give out long-term deals because they don't know what's going to happen with the labor situation. Brown's not exactly playing from a position of strength right now. And yes, Brown is injury prone. Not once in his five year career has he played 16 games. While this past season was the longest, I still consider somebody who can never play a full season to be injury prone. And while Bushrod certainly isn't as good as Brown, he's no chump. The Saints line, as a total, gave up the fourth fewest sacks in the NFL so let's not try to paint him as a terrible lineman. The Saints also had the fourth most rushing first downs in the NFL when rushing to the left side, and the seventh most rushes over 10 yards. |

i know exactly what invaluable means.....i used it correctly in a sentence and even spelled it right......you want its country of origin too? there is nothing that you can tell me that i dont already know about jammal brown because ive had this argument a lot more than you have. no matter what pat says, a 2 time pro bowl LT is not simply "above average" |
Re: Jammal Brown to skip offseason workouts
Brown will bring a high 3rd at best in a trade with maybe a conditional 4th next year that could become a third thrown in. But, when it's all said and done, I expect Brown to be a Saint in 2010. And for the 2010 season, my opinion is that's for the best. There no doubt Bushrod can get the job done. But, the more talent and depth the better. Without Brown and with an injury to Bushrod or Stinchcomb, Strief is starting with no depth behind him. The downside is with all the tackles being free agents next year and two most likely leaving, a strength becomes a weakness real quick.

i got this app on my iphone that you should really check out....it lets me know EVERYTHING.....but alas.....it costs millions of dollars and its banned in 49 states im not implying that the saints should give brown whatever he wants.....im flat out saying the saints should give brown whatever he wants it was evident that brown is light years ahead of bushrod and brown clearly deserves whatever he asks for simply by being on the field |
