This trade may resurface. The reason teams have declined the trade is haynesworth was due a roster bonus of many many millions by the end of last week I believe. Washington has since paid that bonus. So this may come back up now that other teams wont be responsible for that.

Maybe not, the Skins just paid the guy his bonus money. His annual amount is not bad. (I don't know if the league even allows a cash transfer, so I don't know that the Skins could demand reimbursement -- if not, the contract price is not the issue).

Exactly! I don't see this guy as a "team" player at all. All I remember about him, was when he cost his team major yards, for stepping on another players head, when he was at Tennessee. I'm all for second chances on mistakes, but that was completely malicious, and I thought he should have been suspended for the rest of the season for that crap.

And we all know that Daniel Snyder would sell his own mother, if it meant a chance at a superbowl win. He's been on the team for ONE YEAR. And if he's as great as everyone seems to think he is, then why is Snyder trying to unload him? I think there's something else, and it smells funny to me. Let him go somewhere else.....

Washington's D is changing to a 3-4 and Haynesworth wants to play in a 4-3, so the rumors are that's why he's wanting out. Though, I'm sure his attitude may also be the reason why they're open to dealing him.

His contract really isn't as bad as one would think. I'm not really for or against this trade, I'm just stating that it is possible. I just don't see it happening.

They just reported that the Skins were looking for a third round pick for him. Now THAT I would consider, if that's all they want. We trade our third rounder to them, and then concentrate on a LB, in the first round, and safety in the second. If that's all they want for him.
