Are we going to miss Fujita?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; We're going to miss his intangibles and leadership in the locker room. But as far as production, I think we'll be just fine without him....

Re: Are we going to miss Fujita?

Well he did come in and do a good job for us but if you look at what we did without him in the line-up. I say we aren't going to miss him as much as I would like to think.

I am a big fan of his but its a good time to part with him. I also think this tips our hat at looking for a LB in the draft with our first pick.

As a fan I am going to miss him.

His soundbytes during the superbowl were classic! I will miss him just because of that.

Re: Are we going to miss Fujita?

He was an average to slightly above average OLB. I think we all over-rate him because of how pathetic our LB's have been for about a decade now.

He won't be missed IF (BIG IF) Arnoux, Dunbar, Mitchell and Cassilas develop and improve as expected. If they don't step up, and we don't further address OLB, he'll be missed big time.

Re: Are we going to miss Fujita?

Hell yea, we are going to miss him, already do...

If he's under contract then we really have teams guessing what we are going to do...

Besides, he wasn't overrated, he was an excellent big run stop linebacker who'd had more impact if we had better defensive lineman across the front...

I like Fujita but his trash talk in the SB was broke. "I can lick an oreo faster than you"? Weak.

Give me something thoughtful and tough. Licking oreo's is neither.
