It's fun to be on top but it can be very taxing.

Re: My thoughts on the draft...

You know, due to the fact that the Saints are the current Superbowl champions, I actually have less interest in the draft this year for 2 reasons:
1) The Saints are picking so late in the first round.
2) As weird and possibly silly as this sounds, I had waited for most of my life to see the Saints win a Superbowl so I read the magazines and studied before every draft in the past with my hope being that the Saints would be picking up some vital pieces to make the Saints a Superbowl winning team. Now they are a Superbowl winning team so for some reason my interest in the draft is not as great as it was in the past. Of course I'm still eager to see how it all unfolds but my interest has waned a little.

I feel pretty much the same way, although I never really studied the draft too much other than reading people's posts. I've found it's actually a great way to find out about some of the top prospects coming into the league. I mean, if they didn't play in the SEC, it's not likely I heard a whole lot about them unless they were a RB type player...and please don't let this spin off into yet another RB thread just because I said that!

Iceshack, please change your avatar back to the funniest avatar ever used on Black and Gold...

Now let's not get complacent; we've got alot of years of winning championships to make up for so let's get rocked...

I really like to study how the FA and the draft affects each other. And the trades, this year has been an especially interesting one with McNabb and Marshall as the headliners, such things changes the whole complexity of it.
