New Orleans Saints guard Jahri Evans is not participating in offseason workouts but negotiations remain positive

New Orleans Saints guard Jahri Evans' agent, Jerrold Colton, confirmed that his All-Pro client has not been attending the Saints' offseason conditioning program this week. But he said that he and the Saints have had "meaningful" and "positive" discussions about a long-term contract extension for the restricted free agent. And he said it's possible that Evans could rejoin the Saints even before a deal gets worked out if talks remain positive.

"I wouldn't completely rule it out," said Colton, who said Evans has been working out "hard on his own" in his hometown of Philadelphia and is "anxious

Im gonna cut him s him some slack...but we have to get him signed....

why are we cutting evans slack but not brown

both are all pro worthy and both can be perennial pro bowlers

this is BS.....no matter how good you are you show up or you dont play

Do what..i wouldnt put Brown in Evans league man...Brown sat out hurt all year...Evans was knockin people around..i dont see no bull in that brah...

Considering we have adquate backups for Brown, I think it is justified.

Evans is the man and he doesn't get hurt.

guard is a much easier position to play......not taking away from evans but a bad interior linemen can be masked and their mistakes can be covered up......like goodwin

if a tackle stinks, everybody and their mother knows it

while evans may be better at his position than brown, brown's position is easily the 2nd most important on the offense if not the first most important and that makes brown as important if not more than evans

In March, when Loomis was joking around saying that the FO was behind schedule, that was all good, because they had a pretty good excuse...

Quarterback, Offensive Coordinator, Center, Running Back, Wide Receiver all have to make reads before the snap...

The Left Tackle has to make sure he doesn't get beat by the Defensive End...

The guard has to get out, pull trap, pancake Defensive Tackles, often bigger than him, for the whole game...

I love your passion, but your wrong on this; except, I don't like hold outs either, even if it is Evans whose earned a major pay day...

if you were Saints GM, offer either Evans or Brown for trade and see who other teams want and what they'd offer...Evans wins
