Anybody noticed how Canton has something negative to say about EVERY SINGLE player besides Cody?

About Chad Jones:

this is just the yearly LSU player that all the homers are calling for

we wont pick him.....we dont draft LSU players

About Brian Price:

several reports comin out now say that brian price is far more likely to eat himself out of the league

About Price (again, hmmm I wonder if it's because he's a competing DT), Carlos Dunlap, all RBs, all QBs, and all DEs:

a QB in the first few rounds

also be disappointed with price, dunlap, a running back, or most of the DEs in the first

About Rolando McClain:

i guarantee mcclain gets drafted in the first....but it definitly isnt because he made plays

About Toby Gerhart:

im not on board because i dont see what he offers that another back already on our team could not

About Everson Griffen:

i dont like everson griffen... id be kinda bummed if we picked either of those 2 guys (Carlos Dunlap was the other guy)

About Jason Pierre-Paul:

idk if hes going to be a freak in the NFL

To be fair, he did mention something nice about Sean Lee, saying he could be a good fit for us at OLB. And he also said that he liked Colt Brennan, but that's a different draft, and must have been a pity compliment.

I guess I should just tune it out, but for some reason this really bugs me...

if you dont like me posting, ignore it

but i have my reasons for who i want us to draft and i have my reasons for who i dont want us to draft

did i say anything negative about odrick? heck no

did i say anything negative about weatherspoon? nope

did i say anything negative about mccourty? sure didnt

cam thomas? linval joseph? torrell troup? i definitly said nothing negative about them

you wanna know why i want us to draft cody? he fills our biggest need

you wanna know why i dont like the other players? i'll tell you

im worried that you are stalking me hoping that i post something so you can offer some sort of rebutle

instead of trying to call me out, which is what you are doing, try and tell me why those players fit better on this team and tell me why those players fill a bigger need than the players ive listed

Wow, I guess I grossly overexaggerated how annoying you are. You're right, you didn't say something negative about ALL 200+ players in the draft, but you gave it your best shot.

You get fixated all the time on people though, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I'm just thanking my lucky stars that Aaron Stecker isn't in this draft, because we'd be drafting him in the first round.

Everson Griffen would be a great second round pick for us, I love his athletic ability, but he probably won't be there at #64.

Jason Paul-Pierre is an athletic pass-rushing DE which is always nice to have. The Giants from a few years ago proved you can't have too many of those guys.

I think Gerhart would be a perfect replacement for Mike Bell if we drafted him in a later round.

From what I've heard Price would be a good second-round value, and you're right, DT is one of our needs, and he'd be a good fit.

Carlos Dunlap is a freak, I'd love to have him playing opposite of Will Smith. Whether you like it or not, DE is still a big position of need for us, so that'd be a good pick for us both in terms of value and filling a need. If it wasn't for his little incident at the end of the year, I think he'd be one of the top two DEs.

Rolando McClain is an absolute beast, I would take him in a heartbeat. But how will he ever function without Cody in front of him?!?!?!? Probably the same way he did on 50% of the plays when Cody was taking a breather on the sideline.

Point is, when you zero in on one guy you blind yourself to the positives of other guys. I think the Saints are in a position where they don't need to draft solely on need because none of our needs are so insurmountable that they can't be overcome. Zeroing in on one guy, like Cody, is either going to set you up for disappointment on draft day (which I hope is the case because Cody is going to eat himself out of the league) or it's going to prevent us from understanding the other players available. No need for that, I say we take the best guy.

p.s. - you did say you didn't like Weatherspoon's talking, which is negative

Re: I think we found our pick...Jason Pierre-Paul

I doubt we spend 32 on Cody either, but I do think he could play a role on our defense IF, IF, IF he can stay in some semblance of shape. When Williams deploys the 3-4, Cody could play the nose. And in the 4-3, he could be used as a 2 down player, run stopping specialist. That said, I just do not see his value until late 2nd-early 3rd round.

If Pierre-Paul somehow slips (and I do not see how he can with the premium placed on pass rushers) to 32, then I think he is the pick. You can teach pass rush moves and hand techniques, but you can not teach his size, arm length, motor, and explosiveness. He would take some time to develop into an every down player as I think he can stand to add some strength and learn to become more stout against the run, but would thrive as a pass rush specialist with his hand down or up in our attack happy defense. I heard a comparison of Paul to KGB (Gbaja-Biamila).

sorry....theres always next year

You get fixated all the time on people though, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I'm just thanking my lucky stars that Aaron Stecker isn't in this draft, because we'd be drafting him in the first round.
you said it....not me.....now i know i can count on you lol

Everson Griffen would be a great second round pick for us, I love his athletic ability, but he probably won't be there at #64.
absolutely....he has a 2nd round grade IMO...but we have a pick in the first round....id rather pick a first round talent with our first round pick

Jason Paul-Pierre is an athletic pass-rushing DE which is always nice to have. The Giants from a few years ago proved you can't have too many of those guys.
ive watched a lot of him since he is being touted as the 1st or 2nd best DE in the draft.....however, before the season nobody had heard of him....im worried that he may be a one year wonder.....on the flip side...i did say he was a freak athlete

I think Gerhart would be a perfect replacement for Mike Bell if we drafted him in a later round.
people are projecting gerhart in the 2nd.....no i dont want him in the 2nd.....yes i would take a gamble on him in the 7th

From what I've heard Price would be a good second-round value, and you're right, DT is one of our needs, and he'd be a good fit.
again......i dont want a 2nd round talent in the first round.....and like ive said before.....there are a lot of reports about price struggling with his weight

this is where he drew comparisons with cody, however, cody does not struggle with his weight.....cody has proven he can overcome weight issues and price still has ugly reports comin out about his weight

he also isnt the best DT available to stop the run.....which like i said is our biggest weakness......he is apparently a good pass rushing DT but there are bigger needs IMO

Rolando McClain is an absolute beast, I would take him in a heartbeat. But how will he ever function without Cody in front of him?!?!?!? Probably the same way he did on 50% of the plays when Cody was taking a breather on the sideline.
i watched a lot of alabama football this year......rolando mcclain is highly overrated as is carlos dunlap......is he a first round talent......possibly.....is he the best MLB in the draft? maybe.......is he a top 20 pick? not IMO

p.s. - you did say you didn't like Weatherspoon's talking, which is negative
nobody is perfect.....i like to look at both sides of the fence.....weatherspoon is talented with a 2nd round grade but shot up because of the lack of talent at LBs this year......i would be ok with taking him but i dont want any issues in the locker room and i hate players that cant handle themselves professionally on the field

if he talks, i love it.....if he jaws and gets a penalty i'll remind you guys why i didnt like his mouth

No one really heard of him before this season because he was a JUCO transfer to USF and this was his first and only season since transferring.
