I guess I picked a bad night to stop sniffing glue!

Re: TE Jimmy Graham

I swear this guy would have been great in the fifth.

The pick had to have been Bowman had the niners not snapped him up a couple picks before us.

I was laughing at the Vikings this morning about the CB thing. Now they have Toby Gerhart and we have a bunch of projects.

3/28/10: Looked great in the positional drills at his Pro Day. He could be taken in Round 2.

2/28/10: Jimmy Graham didn't disappoint in the 40 (4.56) and definitely looked like a natural tight end in the drills. Some team will take a chance on him in Rounds 3-4.

1/21/10: A forward on the Miami basketball team, Jimmy Graham is a project but has a ton of upside and athleticism. He caught 17 passes for 213 yards and five touchdowns in his only year playing football.

This is from Walter Football.
I don't care if he won the heisman trophy. We don't need another tight end.

Not in the third round, that much I agree with.

Re: TE Jimmy Graham

Well .. we had a ton of injuries at TE also ... remember when Heath went down last year?... a tad disappointing in that he's considered a prospect ... but shows enough potential to be the next Tony Gonzales. Still , we need more DL and LB help.... unless the coaches love our own project lb's and dt's.

Re: TE Jimmy Graham

His measurables are off the charts for a TE. Another huge upside pick. Saints went with homerun swings in first and third rounds. Ballsy.

Why do we not need another tight end? Shockey always has injury concerns. Billy Miller didn't play a snap last year. David Thomas was very solid when Shockey was out, but after that, what is left? Dinkins? Dan Campbell? Pass on both of those. I like Billy Miller a lot, but he isn't under contract and may not be now after tearing his Achilles' tendon and will be 33 years old tomorrow. I like the idea of youth being added to the position.

Re: TE Jimmy Graham

You have no idea what you got in Jimmy Graham. If he had one more year at miami he would've been the best TE coming out next year. Trust me, it's a good pick.
