Ten years ago, the New Orleans Saints selected quarterback Marc Bulger with pick No. 168 in the draft. Thirty-one picks later, the New England Patriots took a chance on Tom Brady.
One is a three-time Super Bowl champion and the other was cut twice the same year he was drafted. I'll let you guess which is which. Even though Bulger has not gone on to have a hall-of-fame career, he's still been a very productive NFL quarterback for the St. Louis Rams. Bulger ranked in the top 10 in the league in both completion percentage and yards per attempt each year from 2003 to 2006. He also made the Pro Bowl twice during that span. Im all for Bulger as a backup..im wondering if he would do that ,,but after the draft ..he might not have a choice..why not come where he can get a ring!!

I think Bulger would be capable of winning a few games for us if he had to with our offensive weapons and pass protection. At the least he would certainly welcome an offensive line that can keep him from scrambling for his life.

I would love to see Bulger as a back-up. I would just hope that he hasn't pulled a Joey Harrington and gotten gun shy behind the line expecting to be sacked any moment and curling up in the fetal position.

bulger has been a quality QB on a pretty bad team.....its a shame when teams decide to rebuild and cut bait with one of their leaders and best players
i would be afraid of the joey harrington effect too but i think bulger has proven that he can play well even behind a below average offensive line |
