Re: Will Smith to sit first four games
I don't see this as that much of a negative given it only affects a position where we are fairly deep. It will be a much greater impact to the Vikings given the fact that they will be losing two players at the DT position. This gives us a very tangible advantage in the Thursday night opener in the Dome versus the Vikes.

Re: Will Smith to sit first four games, pending appeal ...
I wouldn't be surprised if the Vikings lunch bunch appeal their suspensions so they can play. They did it the last time everyone thought they were going to be suspended. If they do have don't play the first four games its just another excuse for the Vikqueen fans to use when the Saints wipe the Superdome turf with them again in week 1.
Will should just serve his time and come back when the Saints are 4-0 |

If this holds up, Alex Brown can play the first four games of the season in Will Smith's spot since he usually plays there anyway. They should have a nice rotation of ends with McCray, Wilkerson, Hargrove (maybe), and either Charleston or Gallette. Let's see who steps up out of this group.

Re: Will Smith to sit first four games, pending appeal ...
Even if Farve does play week 1, he's the only decent quarterback the Saints will face while Smith is suspended so there isn't much concern if you ask me. GW likes to blitz and I think that a healthy McCray and Brown will just have to pick up the slack till week 5

Hate the falcons but we play them week 3 I believe, and Matt Ryan is a pretty solid QB. Still I don't see us losing that game do to Smith's suspension.
