Breakout Year
Sorry if you don't agree with me but I think this could be Drew Brees's breakout season. I really hope it is because this kid is good and I have been waiting for him to really shine. Yes I know he has the best stats over the past four seasons and he got MVP in the Superbowl and led the Saints to victory and has done so much for the community... but when is he going to show us fans what he can really do? So come on, Drew. Stop keeping us waiting!

He threw 5 TD's and perfect passer rating against a bill bellichek team, set the all time completion percentage record and...............outshined manning on the biggest stage!!!

I mean, don't get me wrong, I know Drew could improve, and I would love nothing more than just that. But, C'mon Man, breakout year? I think Neugey said it best...2008, Marino's single-season passing record almost broken, would seem to be a break-out year by my account.

Thank you Euphoria!!! I can't believe how many people responded the way they did when I posted this. I thought maybe one or two but people PLEASE!!!! I was yankin' your chain. Do you honestly think that any Saints fan would seriously consider saying this while actually believing it? Calm down people. We all know that Brees was the best QB last year and it was farcical that he wasn't considered for the League MVP. Anyway, glad to see I got some responses but...still can't believe that y'all thought this was serious!

On a serious note, at this point Brees is a strong candidate for the Hall of Fame, one more ring makes him a guaranteed lock.

Ok guys. I am going to say this one last time and then think what you will...THIS THREAD WAS A WIND-UP, A JOKE, A BIT OF FUN, NOT SERIOUS. HOW CAN IT POSSIBLY BE SERIOUS WITH THE KIND OF QUARTERBACK DREW BREES IS?! In the years he has been a Saint no quarterback has touched him, he deserved to receive the league MVP in our Superbowl year. The most accurate Quarterback that there has ever been and the most amazing guy with his community work, charities. And through all this, the man comes across as a regular guy who has worked hard and still works hard to stay where he is. He makes the people around him better and inspires everyone who sees or reads about him. It seems God could never make another man like this because he has used up too much of the good stuff already. Now, if you still want to say what a bad original post this was and I don't know what I am talking about, go ahead and knock yourselves out.
