he did look lost or sometimes turned the wrong way on the play getting beat . with vaughn back in the picture he better turn his head the right way. special teams won't save him this year.

Saying Vaughn (who was a SS in college) will have an easier time converting to FS than Jenkins from CB is silly. SS and FS are VERY Different positions, just as FS and CB.

they really arent

both a FS and a SS cover slots....TEs and RBs

both FS and SS blitz a lot in our schemes and play center field a lot in our schemes

both FS and SS are brought up into the box during games in our scheme

they really arent a whole lot different

the difference is that SS plays a little more man and the FS plays a little more zone in our defense

but other than that there really isnt that big of a difference

Not just on that one play Canton. It was the other times that he was inserted in the line up throughout the season. I've been a fan of his, but less and less each year. I just don't see him being the answer at safety if need be. Now I'll give you credit.........you certainly have a good eye for details. But I'm becoming disappointed because I had such high hopes for him.

Canton ..the superbowl toasting and the coach calling it should be enough...take off your pads and sit down son...but he can play ST..ok...just not good in coverage..

apparently you're right......thats what happened to mike bell

the guy who led us in rushing the entire season and carried us through some of our earlier games slipped at the goalline and after that everybody hated him

i guess 1 play does sum up a career

Agreed. From what I've seen it certainly looks like he'd be a better fit at FS, especially given his tackling ability. None of us have seen enough of him at FS to judge, especially since it was his 1st season.

He's a very good ST'er, so he may make it on that alone. I still have high hopes for him at FS.
