yeah, there were 3 channels, BUT... have you noticed there is LESS on now? As I remember, there was always something on, back when we had 3 channels, except after midnight, when they had the good sense to sign off. A snowy static screen was Gods way of telling you it was time to go to bed.

Now, I have 100 channels of absolute crap. 12 Spanish channels. 20 infomercials, two of them political. 24 are showing some form of CSI, 10 "house flipping shows," 2 music channels that never have music, and mostly serve the purpose of trying to convert my kids into freaks. One is always showing those poor fat people exercising and crying, while the lesbian yells at them. In the time you waste watching that fat people show, you could be exercising enough to become a supermodel.

Three channels show sports 24-7, but never anything I care about. 8 channels are people cooking something. In the time you waste watching cooking, you could be cooking something, or exercising more and making yourself more attractive. 8 local access hippie channels. 4 channels are cartoons + Lolita Central, also known as Disney. 1 supposedly credible weather channel, which insists on selling me junk science, and 3 additional channels I do watch: history, often biased, Old movies, with their silly injections, and my favorite channel, which I will not name in the name of board unity. ....

.... which leaves you with 3 channels.
